Celebrating Winter Solstice With My School: This is the Sense of Ceremony of Peihua people

A bowl of dumpling soup, a bowl of the hustle and bustle of the world. Winter dumplings warmed up the cold weather and wrapped up a deep affection, and the reunions conveyed warmth and care. The Winter Solstice has arrived, but the cold weather cannot stop the enthusiasm of the faculty and students of Xi’an Peihua University. Today, we gathered together for a dumpling feast.

Chairman Jiang Bo, Peihua’s “Parent”, along with all school leaders, teachers and students gathered together. They made dumplings, played games, and watched performances together. The scene was full of laughter and warmth. In the big family of Xi’an Peihua university, we felt home and love.Chairman Jiang Bo said: Eating dumplings during the Winter Solstice is a traditional Chinese custom, and it also symbolizes happiness and reunion. He is happy to make dumplings with everyone today. Hoping all the teachers and students here can feel the warmth of home in Xi’an Peihua university.

Secretary Liu Feng said: When I first came to Xi’an Peihua university, the most profound feeling I felt was the warmth of Xi’an Peihua university. Everything is done with care and love. Today is the Winter Solstice. In ancient times, there was a saying that the Winter Solstice is as important as the Spring Festival. We are gathered here. I hope every student can be happy, peaceful and warm.

Dumplings of various original shapes, such as lucky bag dumplings, crescent moon dumplings, and wheat ear dumplings, carried the happiness of teachers and students in Xi’an Peihua university in winter.

Professor Zhao Weisen from the School of Humanities and International Education shared with the students the origin and customs of the Winter Solstice. He encouraged everyone to learn traditional cultural knowledge and feel the charm of traditional culture. Professor Zhaos explanations in simple and easy-to-understand manners attracted the students attention.

Interactive games such as pot throwing were also set up on site, allowing teachers and students present to immerse themselves in traditional culture.
