In the winter campus of Peihua, passion is always quietly growing. On November 27, 2025, the second round of recruitment interviews co-hosted by Xi’an Peihua University Bilingual Radio Station and Oral English Association was successfully held in Classroom 1302. With the core goal of "recruiting reserve forces for the Bilingual Radio Station and gathering English practice enthusiasts", this recruitment attracted 5 students from different secondary colleges of the university. They walked into the classroom with enthusiasm for bilingual broadcasting and English expression, showing the positive demeanor of Peihua students. To ensure the professionalism and fairness of the recruitment, a review team composed of both teacher and student representatives was set up for the interview. Ms. Huang Yuge, the supervising teacher of the Bilingual Radio Station, took the lead. Guo Yihui, Chairperson of the Bilingual Radio Station, Hong Mingyang, Director of the Announcer Department, Zhou Binbin, Director of the Editorial Department, as well as Xie Jianing and Tian Jinyu, core members of the Oral English Association, jointly participated in the review. Focusing on "meeting the job requirements of the Bilingual Radio Station", the review team comprehensively assessed the candidates' potential and suitability from dimensions such as the accuracy of English pronunciation, clarity of expression logic, and sense of teamwork, striving to select "passionate, capable and growth-oriented" fresh reserve forces for the Bilingual Radio Station.

At the interview site, the 5 students successively completed three sessions: self-introduction, random topic expression, and on-site interactive Q&A. The desks and chairs in the classroom were neatly arranged, and the sunlight streamed through the windows onto the students' faces. Some shared their growth stories of "going from being afraid to speak to taking the initiative to participate in English corners", some talked about their future plans based on their understanding of the Bilingual Radio Station, and others demonstrated their English reading skills on the spot. Although some students were slightly nervous during their expressions, their sincerity in taking the initiative to break through themselves and eager to join the Bilingual Radio Station won unanimous recognition from the review team. "It's truly rare to see everyone daring to show their English skills in front of the judges—this passion for bilingual communication is invaluable in itself," Ms. Huang Yuge commented during the review.
In the summary session, Ms. Huang Yuge affirmed the students' enthusiasm and frankly pointed out the room for improvement in their suitability for the Bilingual Radio Station positions: "Some students have issues such as imprecise pronunciation details, insufficient reserve of scenario-based broadcasting vocabulary, and room for improvement in the coherence of expression logic. These are the key areas to focus on breaking through for future bilingual broadcasting work." In response to these shortcomings, she also gave specific suggestions based on the practical experience of the Bilingual Radio Station: "I recommend everyone to use the 'shadowing technique' to imitate the pronunciation and intonation of professional bilingual broadcasters, participate more in English corners to accumulate vocabulary for daily and professional scenarios, and try to sort out expression logic using the 'opinion + case' structure. Whether it's this interview or future practice if you join the Bilingual Radio Station, diligent practice will help you grow rapidly."

At present, the final results of this recruitment are being jointly reviewed by the Bilingual Radio Station and the Oral English Association, and will be announced through channels such as Xi’an Peihua University’s official campus WeChat account and the Bilingual Radio Station’s WeChat group. It is worth looking forward to that the selected students will receive customized training opportunities from the Bilingual Radio Station. Through participating in daily broadcasting training, program planning discussions, English special topic recording and other practices, they will gradually grow into reserve forces of the Bilingual Radio Station. Meanwhile, the Bilingual Radio Station will continue to cooperate with the Oral English Association to provide more Peihua students with an English practice platform through activities such as English corners and bilingual theme sharing, contributing to the construction of a campus bilingual cultural atmosphere.
