From January 11^th to 13^th, the Shaanxi Division Finals of the First National College Student Career Planning Competition were held at the Chang’an Campus of Shaanxi Normal University (Growth Track) and the South Campus of Xi’an University of Electronic Science and Technology (Employment Track). Contestants of Xi’an Peihua university won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

The theme of this competition is “Build Dreams, Strive for the Future, Plan and Set Sail for Career”. More than 395,000 students from 93 colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province participated in the competition, and 200 contestants were eventually shortlisted for the provincial competition. The final was divided into onsite presentations, judges’ questions (comprehensive interview), and “offers (internship)”. After the fierce competition, Bu Shuting, a student from the School of Humanities and International Education of Peihua, won the gold medal in the finals of the Higher Education category of the Growth Track. Zhao Chenyang from the same school, won the silver medal in the finals of the Higher Vocational Education category in the employment track. Yan Xinyu from the School of Medicine won the silver medal in the Higher Education category finals in the Growth Track. Zhang Xin from the School of Media won the bronze medal in the finals of the Higher Education category in the Employment Track. Haobo won the bronze medal in the finals of the Higher Education category of the Growth Track. Its overall score ranked first among similar colleges in the province, and it ranked first among similar colleges in terms of promotion quota and number of medals.

Since the launch of the competition, Xi’an Peihua university has attached great importance to it and established a competition leadership group headed by Vice President Yao Wenjing, with the main leaders of the Student Potential Development Center, Admissions and Employment Guidance Center, and secondary colleges as team members. The leading group has been working for more than three months from the preliminary selection to the provincial competition, coordinating and promoting a series of activities such as the docking of supply and demand between schools and enterprises, competition and employment guidance activities. The school adheres to the principle of promoting learning, teaching, and employment through competition, builds “online” and “offline” platforms, invites a number of experts in employment guidance inside and outside the school to give lectures in “Competition Training Camps” and review school-level competitions, and runs precise guidance throughout the process.
