On October 16,Maurits van Rooijen, President of University of Europe for Applied Sciences(UE), Germany, came to our university for an exchange visit. Dr. Jiang Bo, chairman of the board of XPHU, Prof. Liu Yuelian, vice president of XPHU,Prof. Richard-Li Hua, international president of XPHU, and Grace Wang , director of the international exchange center, had a discussion and exchange with the guest and held a signing ceremony.

Dr. Jiang Bo welcomed Maurits van Rooijen. He introduced the history of Peihua, its professional settings, international exchanges, and school-enterprise cooperation to the guest, and hoped that the two schools would cooperate and exchange in AI-driven education and other aspects through the combination of online and offline. At the same time, Dr. Jiang Bo put forward the policy of “Science, Democracy, Freedom, Equity and Innovation”, hoping to integrate the education and teaching resources, industrial resources and technological innovation resources of the two universities, and jointly shape a new form of industry-teaching integration. In addition, Dr. Jiang Bo emphasized that the two universities share the same vision and ideas, and that both universities possess the genes of innovation and integration of industry and education. Dr. Jiang Bo said that he is looking forward to strengthening practical cooperation with theUniversity of Europe for Applied Sciencesin the fields of education and teaching, scientific research and innovation, industry-teaching fusion, as well as the exchange of teachers and students. Through the cooperation between the two universities, the cooperation between SMEs in China and Germany will be promoted, as well as innovation, training and technological innovation.

President Maurits van Rooijen thanked the university for the invitation, introduced the overview of University of Europe for Applied Sciences, and said that in the era of globalization, the university has to be well-prepared for cultivating talents adapted to globalization. President Maurits van Rooijen expressed his admiration for Peihua's long history and brilliant founding history, and recognized the vision of Dr. Jiang Bo, the opportunities and challenges facing global higher education, and the control of the future of higher education. Both universities have strong genes for innovation and integration of industry and education, and we look forward to promoting brand building, academic strength, soft power and connotation through practical cooperation and internationalization of the two universities.
