At 4 p.m. on June 17, 2025, the Kenny Hatch Men’s Basketball Team from the United States visited Xi’an Peihua University and played an exciting basketball exchange match with the Peihua basketball team in the university gymnasium. The event was hosted by Professor Xu Guofu. Attending the event were Jiang Bo, Chairman of Xi’an Peihua University; Wang Zhiqiang, Dean of the School of Physical Education; Ma Dehou, Party Branch Secretary and Administrative Vice Dean; and Liu Lifeng, Director of the Department of University Physical Education.
At the beginning of the event, Professor Xu Guofu gave a detailed introduction to the history of Xi’an Peihua University, its distinctive disciplines, and its achievements in physical education. He also introduced the basic information of the players from both basketball teams to the audience. As a university committed to international development, Xi’an Peihua University has always adhered to an open approach to education and actively expanded its channels for international exchange. This basketball exchange match is an important practice of the university’s internationalization strategy.
Subsequently, Jiang Bo, Chairman of Xi’an Peihua University, presented souvenirs featuring the unique cultural characteristics of Xi’an and the distinctive symbols of the university to the Kenny Hatch Men’s Basketball Team from the United States, expressing his warm welcome and best wishes to the guests who had traveled from afar. Amid the expectant gazes of the entire audience, Chairman Jiang personally tossed the ball to start the game. As the basketball rose into the air, this match—carrying the mission of friendship and exchange—officially began.
On the court, players from both teams gave their all, demonstrating superb athletic skills and excellent sportsmanship.
