From 10:00 to 11:30 a.m on October 13, 2024, the inaugural ceremony of Sichuan Private College Sports Alliance was successfully held in the International Conference Hall of Sichuan International Vocational College. JiangBo,chairman of the National Private College Sports Alliance andchairman of Xi’an PeihuaUniversity, and Miao Jianping, former director of the Physical Health Division of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, attended the conference. This conference markeda new stage in the cooperation and development of sports in private colleges and universities in Sichuan Province.
The conference was chaired by Wang Leiyi, dean of the Sports and Tourism School of Sichuan International Vocational College and dean of the Football Academy. He first introduced the leaders and guests attending theceremony, and expressed his warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to everyone for coming. Later, amid the solemn national anthem, everyone stood up and sang the national anthem to express their high respect for the motherland.
Ren Zaisheng,secretary of the Party Committee of Sichuan International Vocational College, delivered a warm welcome speech at theceremony. Secretary .He first introduced the school’s profile and its unique advantages in sports, and said that the establishment of the alliance will inject new vitality into the development of the college and contribute to the construction of a “strong sportsprovince”.All joint effortsare welcome to promote the vigorous development of sports in Sichuan private colleges and universities and make more contributions to the development of sports.
In his speech, Jiang Bo, chairman of the National Private College Sports Alliance and Xi’an Peihua University, reviewed the development process of the National Private College Sports Alliance and pointed out that the establishment of the Sichuan Province Private College Sports Alliance is an important milestone in the development of sports. He expressed his aspiration to unite private universities through sports, fostering a sense of solidarity, and promoting a coordinated approach both within the province and nationwide, thereby driving high-quality and sustainable development in the sports industry.
Miao Jianping, former director of the Physical Health Department of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, delivered a speech at theceremony. He emphasized the important role of college sports in improving students’ comprehensive quality and promoting the construction of campus sports culture, and congratulated the establishment of the Sichuan Private College Sports Alliance. Director Miao Jianping hopes that the alliance can play a positive role in promoting the vigorous development of sports in colleges and universities in Sichuan Province.
Then, the conference ushered in an exciting moment. Jiang Bo, chairman of the National Private College Sports Alliance, announced the official establishment of the “Sichuan Province Private College Sports Alliance”. Chairman Jiang Bo awarded Sichuan International Vocational College the honorary titles of “Vice Chairman Unit of the National Private College Sports Alliance” and “Chairman Unit of the Sichuan Private College Sports Alliance”.
During the appointment letter awarding ceremony, Chairman Jiang Bo presented appointment letters of Vice Chairman of National Private College Sports Alliance and Chairman of Sichuan Private College Sports Alliance to Xu Ming, vice dean of Sichuan International Biaobang Vocational College;those of Deputy Secretary-general of the National Private College Sports Alliance and Secretary-general of the Sichuan Private College Sports Alliance to Wang Leiyi, vice president of Sichuan International Vocational College, anddean of the College of Sports and Tourism and the College of Football.
The new chairman Xu Ming also presented letters of appointment to the consultants, executive chairman, vice chairman, deputy secretary-general and executive director units respectively, andstated that he would go all out to promote the development of the alliance and contribute to the prosperity ofthe sports industry of private colleges and universities in Sichuan Province,and look forward to working together with other colleges and universities to jointly write a new chapter in college sports and make new contributions to the Sichuan Private College Sports Alliance.
Later, Chairman Jiang Bo presented souvenirs to Secretary Ren Zhengsheng,Director Miao Jianping,consultant of Sichuan Private College Sports Alliance,and Professor Zhao Qiang.
Finally, representatives from theceremony, including Executive Chairman Dean Deng Yuening, Deputy Secretary-General Yang Cheng, and Executive Director Pan Zhixiang, delivered speeches respectively,expressingthat the establishment of the Private College Sports Alliance establishesa high-quality platform for the exchanges and cooperation among private colleges and universities in the province, which will have a profound impact on the development oftheirsports majors. In the future, all schools will work together to contribute to the development of sports in private colleges and universities in the province.
