On November 5, the inauguration ceremony of the School of Sports Integrated Innovation of Xi’an Peihua University, together with a seminar on school–enterprise collaboration for talent cultivation, was held in the fourth-floor auditorium of the Mingde Building on campus. More than a hundred guests from government departments, industry associations, cooperative enterprises and universities gathered together to have in-depth discussions on the collaborative education between schools and enterprises in the sports field and the high-quality development of the industry. This conference was presided over by Ma Dehou, Executive Vice Dean of the School of Physical Education.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Jiang Bo, Chairman of Xi’an Peihua University, delivered a speech. He stated that the establishment of the School of Sports Integrated Innovation is an important measure taken by the university in response to the national strategy of building a sports power and deepening the integration of industry and education. It aims to break down the barriers between universities and industries and cultivate applied talents that meet the development needs of the sports industry through the tripartite linkage of “university, enterprise and association”, thereby contributing to the innovative development of sports education in Shaanxi’s private higher education sector.

At the inauguration ceremony, Wang Zhiqiang, Dean of the School of Physical Education and Director of the Management Committee of the School of Sports Integrated Innovation, signed school–enterprise cooperation agreements on site with representatives of four companies: Xi’an Ruide Sports Fitness Co., LTD., Xi’an Xueji Sports Development Co., LTD., Xi’an Bojia Fange Health Technology Co., LTD., and Shaanxi Zhaogin Cultural Tourism Investment and Development Co., LTD. This marks that all parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, practical teaching, and scientific research transformation.

After the inauguration ceremony, the seminar focused on the core theme of “school-enterprise linkage and collaborative education”. Professor Cui Lequan, Research Fellow at the Sports Culture Development Center of the State Sports General Administration, delivered a keynote speech entitled titled “History, Current Situation and Development-Several Issues on the Research of National Traditional Sports”, sorted out the inheritance and contemporary development path of national traditional sports.

Professor Yang Tao of Xi’an Physical Education University Delivered a Keynote Speech

Professor Yang Tao of Xi’an Physical Education University focused his presentation on “Chinese Modernization and the High-Quality Development of the Sports Tourism Industry.” Drawing on policy orientations and industry data, he proposed that the sports tourism sector should take “green development” and “integrated innovation” as its core principles, and foster new business models such as “sports events + tourism” and “outdoor sports + ecological development.”.

Su Lin, General Manager of Xi’an Ruide Sports and Fitness Co., LTD., shared the experience of “School-Enterprise Integration and Collaborative Education” from the perspective of enterprise practice, and suggested that through models such as “dynamic course co-construction”, “stepped practice system”, and “1+X certificate mutual recognition”, the precise connection between talent cultivation and market demand could be achieved.

As the core enterprise partners in this collaboration, the four participating companies each bring distinct strengths and competitive advantages. Xi’an Ruide Sports and Fitness Co., Ltd. has been deeply engaged in the field of fitness education and training for more than a decade, having trained over 3,000 fitness instructors, and has hosted the Evolution China International Fitness Conference—the largest of its kind in Northwest China—for four consecutive years. Xi’an Xueji Sports Development Co., Ltd., operator of the Xi’an Hot Snow Miracle indoor ski resort, has filled the gap in high-quality indoor ice and snow sports facilities in Northwest China, serving over 10,000 ice and snow sports enthusiasts annually. Xi’an Bhagavad Gita Health Technology Co., Ltd., characterized by its “yoga + natural medicine” model, is the only enterprise nationwide dedicated to the integrated development of sports, medicine, and public health, and operates multiple national-level training bases in the fields of sports and health. Shaanxi Zhaojin Cultural Tourism Investment and Development Co., Ltd., guided by the development philosophy of “red culture as the banner, people’s well-being as the foundation, and industry as the support,” has developed the Zhaojin Red Cultural Tourism Town, which receives over two million visitors annually and has been honored with multiple national accolades, including National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base and National Advanced Collective in Poverty Alleviation.

The establishment of the School of Sports Integrated Innovation marks not only a significant step by Xi’an Peihua University in advancing education and teaching reform, but also the creation of a new collaborative platform for coordinated development among universities, enterprises, and industry organizations. In the future, the University will work with a broader range of high-quality enterprises and industry associations to pursue institutionalized cooperation in areas such as co-developing curricula, building internship and training bases, appointing industry mentors, and delivering skills certification programs, with the goal of cultivating more versatile, application-oriented professionals for the sports industry who are strong in theory, proficient in skills, and capable in practice, thereby supporting the high-quality development of the sports integrated innovation sector in Shaanxi Province and across Northwest China.
