Established in June 2018and combiningthe original School of Liberal Arts and School of International Education,the School of Humanitiesand International Education of Xi’an Peihua University is a secondary branch mainly focused on humanities and social sciences. It offersfive undergraduate majors, including Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese International Education, English, Japanese, and Preschool Education. With the overall goal to foster virtue through education, the school pays close attention to the needs of local economic development, applies the teaching concept of Outcome-based Education(OBE) to the entire process teaching. It sets the goal of educatingstudents to be practical talents in liberal arts fields with all-round development from moral, intellectual, physical, artistic and labor perspectivesfor each major.

The school has one first-class major construction siteat Shaanxi provincial level(English), one first-class major at the school level(Chinese Language and Literature), one Education major(Preschool Education).Chinese Language and Literature, English and Japanese,with thelongest history in Peihua,are the first to be approved to grant bachelor’s degree among all the private colleges and universities in Northwest China.

The school has afaculty with excellent ethics, high academic level and rich teaching experience. The student management team of the school has high moral and political standards with high expertise, and is strict with discipline and upright with work style.

The school gives full play to its professional advantages in various disciplines, actively carrying out teaching and scientific research, and has achieved great teaching and scientific research results. In recent years, teachers of the school have carried out three national-level scientific research projects, and more than 40 provincial-level and ministerial-level scientific research projects.More than 500 papers on scientific research and teaching reform were published in and out of China,among which 156 areincore journals. Besides, teachers of the school have published 41 books and won the award of Excellent Provincial Scientific Research 6 times.

The school attaches great importance to the faculty and the training of young teachers. By applying modern teaching methods and new concepts in teaching reform, the school has achieved excellent results.It received 1school-level teaching achievement award; Teachers have won 38 awards in provincial-level and national teaching competitions, and have been approved for one education project by the Industry Education Cooperation Association of the Ministry of Education.

The school pays great attention to the training of practical talents. Now it has three affiliated kindergartens: Jiaxiang No.3 Kindergarten, Jiaxiang No.5 Kindergarten and Jiaxiang Baowa Kindergarten, and has set up off-campus practice bases and school-business cooperation bases in 57 units, including Kindergarten of Shaanxi Normal University, Duqu Street Center School of Chang’an District of Xi’an, and Renmin Road Primary School of Eyi District of Xi’an, etc. With them, the school strives to cultivate the innovative spirit and practical ability of the students andhasachieved remarkable results. In recent years, the school has won 1 national project and 8 provincial projects in College Students’ Innovation and Start-up projects,1 silver medal and 1bronze medal in provincial “Internet+” competition, and 1 award in “Challenge Cup” Shaanxi College Students’Extracurricular Academic and Technological Works Competition (Provincial Competition) sponsored by Shaanxi Qiche. Students of the school have also won 158 awards in provincial and nationalteaching competitions.

The school has 27 various practice and training rooms, including the Virtual Simulation Training and Teaching Center for practical Liberal Arts majors,Kindergarten Simulated Training Room for teaching activities,PreschoolC hild-care Training Room,Electric Piano Room,MicroTeaching Room forthe English major, and Preschoolers Art Activities Room.

The school was awarded the“Advanced Collective of Teachers’Ethics” inShaanxi Province, the “Advanced Grassroots Party Organization” in Shaanxi Province, the “May First Women’s Pioneer Post” in the Education,Culture,Health and Sports System of Shaanxi province, and the “Advanced Collective” for its contribution during the celebration of the 90^th anniversary of Xi’an Peihua University. In 2021,itwas awarded the great honor of “Supporting Unit” by the Organizing Committee of the 14^thGames of the People’s Republic of China, the 11^thParalympic Games of the People’s Republic of China and the 8^th Special Olympic Games.It won the title of“Excellent Organizational Unit”in the National College English Competition for more than ten consecutive years.
