School of Marxism is a branch engaged in teaching and research of ideological and political theory courses in the university. Its predecessor was the Social Science Department of Xi’an Peihua University. In 2010, the Department of Ideological and Political Theory Teaching and Research was established, and in 2018, School of Marxism was founded. The school continuously strengthens the construction of its faculty, forming a teaching team with high ethics, relatively sound structure, high teaching and research capability, and strong potential. The school has 2 provincial-level teaching studios, 1 innovation research room for ideological and political courses, 1 research institute for the history of the Communist Party of China, and 6 teaching and research rooms (Basic Principles of Marxism; Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics; Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Ideology; Morality, and Rule of Law; Outline, Situation, and Policy of Modern and Contemporary Chinese History). In 2018, the school was awarded the title of “Advanced Collective of Teacher Ethics” in Peihua University. In 2019, it was awarded the title of “Demonstration University of Ideological and Political Education” by Xinhua News Agency. In 2020, it was awarded the “Demonstration Team of Teacher Ethics Construction in Shaanxi Province” and the “Excellent Organization Award” for the Grand Training for Teachers of Ideological and Political Courses in Shaanxi College. The school has one national “Backbone Teacher” for ideological and political courses in colleges, two provincial-level “Master Teachers” and five teachers honored as “Teaching Role Model ” and “Outstanding Teacher” in the Grand Training for Teachers of Ideological and Political Courses in Shaanxi Colleges.
