The School of Intelligent Science and Engineering is a key second-level school Xi’an Peihua University. It consists of the Department of Basics, Department of Electronics, Department of Computer, Department of Architecture, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Engineering Cost, Experimental Teaching Center, Comprehensive Management Office and Student Service Station. The school has eight undergraduate majors:Electronic Information Engineering,Communications Engineering,Computer Science and Technology,Software Engineering,Data Science and Big Data Technology,Civil Engineering,Architecture, and Engineering Cost, and three junior college majors:Computer Application Technology,Construction Engineering Management, and Engineering Cost.All program srecruit students from all over China and cultivates applied technology talents.

The school adheres to market demand orientation,and takesthe cultivation of students’practical ability and employ ability as the core, and actively explores and implements the talent cultivation model that integrates industry, academia and research.It collaborates with well-known domestic enterprises to create a mechanism and platform for school-enterprise cooperative and collaborative education, jointly building majors, teams and teaching conditions, and implementing vocational education, forminga talent training characteristic of complementary advantages, cooperative education, collaborative education, on-demand customized training, and zero adaptation period employment, providing urgently needed applied technical talents for fields such as communication, electronics, computer information technology, and architecture.

The school has a faculty with reasonable structure, superb academic skills and strong capability. There are currently 6 members of the lecturer team of the Applied Curriculum Construction Alliance of the School Planning and Development Center of the Ministry of Education, 2 school-level teaching masters, 5 school-level teaching stars, 6 school level backbone talents, and 2 young talents.

The school has good practical teaching conditions such as experiments and practical training to provide support for the cultivation of applied talents. The experimental teaching center covers an area of more than 2,600 square meters, and the total value of software and hardware equipment goes over 32 million yuan. The school has 2 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, 1 provincial talent training model innovation experimental area, and 1 provincial graduate joint training demonstration workstation. It hasmany professional laboratories with complete functions and advanced equipmentsuch asbig data and artificial intelligence, modern electronic technology application development, intelligent information processing, mobile communications, computer network technology, architectural models, architectural physics, engineering mechanics, building materials, building structure laboratories, engineering surveying, and construction software comprehensive training rooms. Through in-depth cooperation with well-known enterprises such as Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., China Coal Aeronautical Surveying and Remote Sensing Group, and Western Cloud Valley, a number of large-scale off-campus practical training bases integrating school and enterprise, industry, academia and research have been established to meet the needs of off-campus internships.

It uses second classroom activities and professional competitions as important supplements to professional education to cultivate students’independent design and development capabilities. Relying on the“Xi’an Peihua University Maker Center”(the third batch of Shaanxi Provincial Maker Space Incubation Base), a variety of second classroom activities and themed salons are carried out. By participating in the National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition, the National Undergraduate Electronic Design Competition, the China Undergraduate Computer Design Competition, the Blue Bridge Cup National Software and Information Technology Professional Talent Competition, the China “Internet+” Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and Huawei 1+X Certificate Certification, etc.,itpromotes thestudents’core capabilities, and wins more than 100 national and provincial awards every year. After nearly two decades of undergraduate education practice, the school has laid a solid foundation in discipline and major construction,faculty construction, application-oriented curriculum construction, and teaching condition construction,forming afavorable educational environment and strong talent cultivation capabilities.
