FromDecember 2ndtoDecember3rd, the First National International Chinese Language Education Teaching Skills Competition, supported by the Chinese Language Alliance, organized by the Shaanxi Association for Chinese Language Education, and hosted by Hainan Normal University, came to an end. The competition was attended by 264 undergraduates, postgraduates and international students from 106 colleges and universities across China, including Renmin University of China, Communication University of China, Jinan University and Wuhan University. Zhao Jiaxing, an undergraduate of the year2022, whomajorsin Chinese International EducationoftheSchoolof Humanities and International Education, won the third prizethanks toher solid professional knowledge and good language expression ability.Cui Sai,an undergraduate of2021and Wu Dandanof2022, majoring in Chinese International Education, won the excellence prize.
Theuniversityattached great importance to this competition and trained the students in four aspects, namely,lesson introduction, classroom teaching, Chinese and English Q&A, and Chineseculturetalentdemonstration. The careful guidance and continuous efforts of more than two months finally led to the students’great achievements in the competition.
In this competition,PeihuaUniversitywas the only private university to reach the finals and winprizes.This is not only a skills display, but also a grand event for international educational exchanges and cooperation. It showcasesthe achievements of ouruniversityin Chinese international education teaching skills, exercises the students’comprehensive ability, strengthens their professional self-confidence, and enhances theuniversity’s rep. In the future education and teaching, the Department of Chinese Language and Literature will continue to strive for breakthroughs and win more honor for the university.
