In order to let the participating teachers and students get familiar with and communicate with each other quickly, before the activity started, Lv Gailian, teacher of the Development Center for Students’ Potential, organized everyone to sit in a circle and play a game called “Make Raindrops”. In the stormy applause, the event started in a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

From the perspective of management, the two teachers answered that the library, student managers of each floor and teachers on duty in the dormitory building would strengthen management and give regular reminders. They also called on students to take care of the public environment, study when they are there, take all the stuff when they leave, and jointly create a harmonious learning atmosphere.

At last, he assured that all medical staff at the campus hospital will do their best to keep the students healthy.
Yang Ze, a junior student from the School of Humanities and International Education, said that when he participated in social practice activities to “bring Culture, Science and Technology, Hygienic Health to the Countryside”, where he had applied what he had learnt in classroom to social practice, he found that attending lectures is not the same as giving lectures, so he suggested that the school should hold more lectures made by senior students sharing their teaching experience. Quan Yongtai, Director of the Student Affairs Department of Party Committee, answered that the Learning and Development Section of the Student Service Center, the Youth League Committee, and each school will hold regular experience sharing activities named “Seniors Say” and regular lectures by “Peer Lecturers” in student community, where experienced seniors can answer questions and share experiences to provide more opportunities for more students to know more about “their stories on the podium”. He added that in the future, the Learning and Development Section of the Student Service Center and the Youth League Committee will widen their publicity with more channels to let more students know and participate in these experience exchange activities.
Min Bo, Deputy Director of the library, added that he hoped that students could take all their initiative to study, plan their spare time reasonably, and make good use of the rich learning resources in the library, so that they could gain knowledge in the classroom, practice skills on campus, and develop their talents in practice.
Li Haonan, a student from the School of Intelligent Science and Engineering, mentioned that motorcycles and electric bicycles on campus are at high speed and park randomly. Zhang Jingyuan, Director of the Logistics Service Center, replied that for those traffic safety problems on campus, the university will introduce relevant rules and regulations to standardize traffic management, such as registering the owners’ information of all the motorcycles and electric bicycles on campus, asking the owners to sign a commitment to driving safely on campus, setting speed limits based the time and location, setting up more parking lots with roof and more charging stations for motorcycle and electric bicycles, and adding bullet bags, firewalls and other fire prevention equipment and facilities. At the same time, he called on students to be truly aware of safety, advocate green mobility, and strive to keep the campus safe and stable.
Xue Siyi, a student from the School of Humanities and International Education, pointed out that the installation of window limiters had made student apartments less ventilated, so she hoped to better ventilate the room while still ensuring safety.
Zhang Jingyuan, Director of the Logistics Service Center, and Jiang Junrui, Director of the “One-Stop” Community Work Office, patiently explained the purpose of installing window limiters in student dormitories, and assured that they would investigate the dormitories and seek proper adjustments of window limiters to satisfy the students’ need of room ventilation according to the actual results of investigation and under the premise of ensuring safety.
Zhang Bicen, a student from the School of Humanities and International Education, reported many problems in the reservation system for the public washing machines in the dormitories, and that the machines were often used by non-reserved users. The washing machine hadn’t been cleaned in time after frequent use so that the clothes could not be well washed. The washing machine often malfunctioned, and the repair was quite slow after the problem was reported. The barreled water was not delivered in time.
Zhang Jingyuan, Director of the Logistics Service Center, assured the students that the Logistics Service Center would improve its supervision and management, and communicate with sellers soon to improve service quality.

Second, they should keep a watchful eye and try to be a supervisor everywhere, so that when they spot some improper behavior, they should stop and report them in time. Third, they should accumulate their knowledge, read more books, restrain themselves, and take initiative to behave well on campus.

After the exchange, Liu Feng and other teachers sent pot plants named “seedling of Peihua” to the students as gifts in the hope that the students, like the plants, take in the “water” of knowledge and skills in Peihua, take root deep down, grow towards the sun, and thrive like the seedlings.

Reception Day with the President
Reception Day of the President in Peihua has been set up since 2015 to establish a communication platform, keep the channels of communication open, collect students’ suggestions about the work of the university, enrich the campus culture, promote development and construction of Peihua, and inherit the school-running philosophy of “putting people and morality first”. The Reception Day has provided more channels for teachers and students to participate in school development, guaranteed the teachers and students’ right to know, participate in and supervise the work in the university, improving the teachers and students’ satisfaction with the work in the university, and creating a good atmosphere of campus culture.
On each Reception Day of the President, students are randomly selected by the system to meet face to face with school leaders and teachers from all departments, and ask and answer questions about the problems students encounter in life and study.
Reception Day of the President and Party Secretary is one of the ways for Peihua to listen to students. In addition, Jiang Bo, Chairman of the board of Peihua and leaders of departments at all levels also shared their personal or office telephone numbers with teachers and students for them to report problems conveniently. The university advocates and implements humane and transparent management in education, management and logistics, so that teachers and students can make suggestions through multiple channels. All the people in Peihua supervise and promote each other top-down or bottom-up, forming a harmonious, positive, clean and upright atmosphere.
