On March 8, 2022, Xi 'an Peihua University held a large-scale event entitled "Building a City for Gender Equality, Working Together to Implement the Basic National Policy" as part of the follow-up actions of the UN Women CGF project "Social Organizations in Shaanxi Incorporate Gender Equality into Public Welfare and Charity". Liu Yuilian, Vice President of Xi 'an Peihua University， Wang Peng, Executive Deputy Dean of Women School of XPHU, Ban Li, Deputy Dean of Women School of XPHU, all teachers of Women School of XPHU and representatives of students attended the ceremony.

During the activity, teachers and students selected the puzzles of Gender Equality City and posted them on the theme board in turn. The puzzle pieces formed various streets and buildings in a city. There are Non-stereotype Avenue, Liberty Avenue, Equality Avenue Representation, Education Avenue, Climate Action Street, Equal Pay Street, Violence-Free Alley, Noxious Masculinity Recycling Station and the most central inclusion plaza. Each path is a different guide on how we can lead to a better home for gender equality.

Innovative activities are welcomed by all. This activity was also supported by "Women/Gender Equality Research Base" of Provincial Women's Federation, "Office of Provincial Women and Children Working Committee", "Science Popularization Base of Gender Equality and Women's Development of Shaanxi Province" and "Training Base of Female College Students' Entrepreneurship and Employment of Shaanxi Province".

The activity called on people to join the fight for equality and end discrimination, and to build on gender equality. The event is a positive response to the theme of this year's International Women's Day "Gender Equality for a Sustainable Future".
