From April 3rd to April 5th, volunteers from the Shaanxi Volunteer Service Federation, the Women'sSchoolof Xi'an Peihua University, the interns of the Social Work Major of Northwest University and the children of the Little Egret Children's Service Stationbrought their own hands to make white flowers and fresh chrysanthemums to participate in the "Carryforward LiuQing’sEntrepreneurialspirit volunteerforrural revitalization" activity held at the LiuQing Memorial Square in Huangfu Village, Chang'an District.
On April 3, most of the people who came to visit Mr. Liu Qing's tomb were thefellow villagers ofHuangfu Village, including the old neighborsand today’s tomb keepers. Now, as Mr. Liu Qing wished, the lives of the folks have become better. It has not only achieved the century-old goal of poverty alleviation, but is also moving towards the goal of rural revitalization. Mr. Liu Qing's "History of Entrepreneurship" has become a spiritual driving force that inspires future generations to not forget their original aspirations and keep their mission in mind. The better life is, the more people miss Mr. Liu Qing, who shared weal and woe with them and donated all hismanuscript fees to Wangqu Township Government to repair farm implements and bridges.
The little volunteers of the Little Egret Children's Service Station in One Paradise, founded by the Hongfeng Project Volunteer Association, enthusiastically told the tourists about Liu Qing's life and his entrepreneurial story for three consecutive days. Representatives from China Construction Seventh Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. took the initiative to wipe Liu Qing's statue, visited the New Era Civilization Practice Institute and Station, and expressed their admiration and commemoration of Mr. Liu Qing. At the same time, there were alsostudents from Shaanxi Normal University and Xi'anFanYi University. The students came to express their admiration for Mr. Liu Qing. Volunteers will help tourists take pictures, provide flowers and hand-made paper flowers for tourists, and provide flowers for tourists for free. On April 5th, children from other districts of Xi'an also joined the volunteer service team, and together with the little volunteers of the Little Egret Children's Service Station, enthusiastically introduced Liu Qing's life to friends from afar. There are two special "guests"today, theyboth met Mr. Liu Qing.GrandmaLei Linxian took her little granddaughter to see the service of the little volunteers, and immediately let her little granddaughter join the ranks of volunteers.She also promised to talk about Liu Qiu for the children.She mentioned that in the early 1950s, when the primary andhigh-level clubswere established in Chang'ancountryside, Mr. Liu Qing worked with the villagers and wrotethe“History of Entrepreneurship” which has been passed down through the ages. In the novel, during the 14 years he took root in Huangfu Village, he forged a deep relationship with the farmers.Grandpa Li Xin's mother-in-law, the women's director of the village, often told Grandpa Liu Qing about the customs of the village, and Grandpa Liu Qing wroteallthese in the book. He encouraged the children to learn to inherit Mr. Liu Qing's love for the people and the land, and for the happiness of the people, to work hard under the leadership of the party and love to learn, in order to give full play to their strengths in rural revitalization and express his expectations for the children.
Mr. Liu Qing is an admirable literary writer. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1936 and went to Yan'an in 1938. In the early days of liberation, he served as editorial board member and supplement editor-in-chief of China Youth Daily. In 1952, he served as deputy secretary of Chang'an County, Shaanxi Province, and settled in Huangfu Village, Chang'an County for 14 years. Wrote an excellent novel "History of Entrepreneurship" (Part 1), which occupies an important position in the history of contemporary Chinese literature. Through the three-day volunteer service in front of Mr. Liu Qing's cemetery, it is also an inspiration and encouragement to the volunteers. Whether it is a small volunteer, a young volunteer, or an elderly volunteer, they all deeply feel that rural revitalization is the most important.
