Peihua University has built 25 project teams, 2 projects approved by Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China，and has established 8 bases for the social practice and labor education of college students. Media students from Peihua University went to cities and counties around the country, such as Kubuqi in Inner Mongolia, Lvliang and Fenyang in Shanxi Province, Hanzhong, Yanan, Weinan and Baoji in Shaanxi Province. Caring for Pingli and Aiding Rural Vitalization
— The Professional Social Practice Group
The Professional Social Practice Group went to Pingli County in Ankang, Shaanxi and launched their Sanxiaxiang social practice. Using what they learned from school, all group members carried out in-depth research in Pingli and worked hard to boost the development of the village featured with tea production.
The team members observed the making process of tea and learned to brew tea in Mapan Mountain, went to Jiangjiaping Phoenix Tea Garden to visit the tea garden and film League Classes, and experienced livestreaming marketing under the guidance of the staff. At the same time, they carried out the charitable activity themed by Approaching the Red Culture, Inheriting the Revolutionary Spirit in which they volunteered to give lessons to students, the promotion activity themed by Public Ecological Culture Education, the activity in which they promoted and distributed posters themed by the Protection of the Ecology of Hualong Mountain and the activity themed by Don’t Throw Rubbish on the Ground. With all these activities, these college students in new era aimed at making contribution to the construction of beautiful countrysides.
The Oasis Action Youth Expedition
The Oasis Action Youth Expedition went to Kubuqi Desert, a global ecological economy demonstration zone, in Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and re-rendered the transformation from “yellow desert” to “oasis bank” through a brand new exhibiting way featured with information visualization and cloud promotion, which combines digital technology and youth thinking. They made full use of various media platforms to improve the transmissibility and influence.
The Oasis Action Youth Expedition crossed desert highways, witnessed the oasis created by the staff working on sand controlling. In the ocean of 600,000 photovoltaic panels, they listened to the history of sand controlling told by Gao Maohu, the leader of the first civilian workers group working on controlling the Kubuqi Desert, learned the new media technology in Erdos Radio and TV Station, explored the new path of integration of new media and ecological activities, and gave suggestions for the digital development of ecological culture in Erdos.
The Young Observers Practice and Investigation Team
The Young Observer Practice and Investigation Team went to Hanyin County, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province and carried out a research project themed by The Charm from Qin Dynasty - The Promotion and Research Project of Hanyin Agricultural Products to learn about the characteristics of local agricultural products and the development of the agricultural industry.
The practice team filmed the modern production of kangkang buns in Puxi, went to Zhongping in Guanyinhe to spread the kiwifruit from Guanyinhe with the most realistic works, went to Fengyan Terraces to have the first-hand experience of the cultivation of selenium-rich rice, explored and spread the cultivation, production and promotion of Hanyin’s special agricultural products from the perspective of journalism majors.
The Love Pucheng Practice Team
The Love Pucheng Practice Team went to Hanjing Town, where the Sangencong group films its videos, in Pucheng County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province and launched the practical activity themed by Walking into the Real Life of Sangencong, the Countryside Caretakers,and Exploring the Development of Rural Wemedia.
The Practice Team Aiding the Revitalization of Foping Tourism
The Practice Team Aiding the Revitalization of Foping Tourism conducted an in-depth exchange with the Foping County Agricultural and Rural Bureau in Hanzhong City. With the assistance of the Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Development of Foping County, the team visited the Chinese medicine seedling breeding base and edible fungus industrial park in Xiaojiazhuang Village and the dogwood planting base in Shawo Village. With the introduction from the staff, the team was able to gain a deeper understanding about the planting, growth process and post processing of the Chinese medicine seedling, which laid a solid foundation for the next step of using new media platforms to promote special agricultural products.
The team members, with Foping’s local social media influencer named Fat Brother Working on Farming Supporting , used the new media platform to have live streaming marketing to promote special agricultural products. The team focused on showcasing lesser-known local agricultural products in Foping County, such as dogwood, asparagus, fungus, and honey. The main purpose is to introduce and sell local agricultural and sideline products to places around the country through the network, while also promoting its products and folklore culture. This is undoubtedly a new marketing channel and a way to spread culture. They hope that through this way, they can raise the awareness of local products, boost local economic circulation and help to add value to local agricultural products.
The Light and Shadow Youth Social Practice Team
Under the leadership of Mr. Wang Peng, the Light and Shadow Youth Social Practice Team conducted social practice activities in Yingliang Village, Xiangyang Town, Ziyang County, Ankang City. They provided services for the elderly in the nursing home, learned about the ancient farming culture in Haoping Farming Museum, and learned about the local industrial chain on their way to visit the tea farms in Haoping Town.
The volunteers participated in the basic industries to learn and understand people’s livelihood and public sentiment, effectively helped to pave the way for rural revitalization and laying a good foundation for the formation of a new model and pattern of mutual promotion and construction.

The Social Practice Team Working on the Promotion of Mandarin went to Lvliang City, Shanxi Province, to conduct a series of practical activities on the promotion of mandarin. Through visits, classes, lectures, and social research, the team conducted customized courses on the promotion of mandarin for the key targets - preschool and school-age children, people engaged in domestic services and so on.
In addition to understanding the characteristics of the dialect, the coverage of mandarin, the learning situation and the learning needs of people in the Lvliang area, team members also conducted professional knowledge training. They wrote and adjusted their teaching plan according their research results. All children and caregivers were provided with targeted and professional special training to help them standardize their mandarin and help local development.

The Sanxiaxiang Volunteers Group went to Fenyang City, Shanxi Province and introduced traditional Shanxi opera culture to kids, comforted empty nesters, learned opera from seniors from the troupe, learned about Fenxiao Yangge, an endangered genre of opera in Shanxi, and held a cultural performance.
The art of Chinese opera boasts a long and profound history. The volunteers have learned new knowledge while promoting opera culture to the public. They gave full play to their own initiative to spread the traditional opera culture, so that more people could experience the unique charm of opera culture and its profound cultural heritage, and contributed their own strength to the inheritance of traditional opera.

The Dream Building Mandarin Promotion Team went into Yamshan Village, Guanyuan Town, Xunyang City, Shaanxi Province, to carry out volunteer service activities of tutoring rural children’ homework of summer holiday. The volunteers were patient, guiding children gradually, leading children to think, guiding the children’s learning direction and helping them make progress. At the same time, through the combination of theory and practice, knowledge about aeromodelling are deeply rooted among all the children, and the team helped children in Yangshan Village to fly their youthful ideals.
The Practice Team Working on the Promotion of Mandarin and Rural Revitalization
Team members went to Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, conducted in-depth analysis of data and applied the research results to the subsequent rural mandarin promotion activities, making mandarin a powerful driving force to boost rural revitalization.
