From March 22 to 24, according to the spirit of the Party’s 20 National Congress, in order to accelerate the construction of a high-quality education system, promote the quality and efficiency of higher education, expand the opening of education and other important indicators, based on serving the internationalization development strategy of colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province, Sponsored by Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and undertaken by Northwestern Polytechnical University, the Training meeting of the International Cooperation Ability Improvement Project of “the Belt and the Road” Education for University Foreign Affairs Management Cadres was held in Xi’an Guangcheng Hotel.

Wu Jinsong, Second-level Inspector of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, Gao Wei, Second-level Inspector of the Provincial Department of Education, Wen Tong, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Provincial Department of Education and other leaders from 50 universities in the province, foreign affairs and overseas students management staff attended the training. Liu Yuelian, Vice President of our university and Li Yutong, foreign affairs officer of the International Exchange Center attended the training.

The three-day training session consists of an opening ceremony, a presentation, a training course, an exchange session, questions and answers, and a quiz. Leaders, experts and professors from the School of International Relations of Peking University, School of Journalism and Communication of Peking University, Xi Jinping Diplomatic Thought Research Center, Department of National Security of Guangdong Province, School of International Business of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, School of Chinese Language and Culture of Nankai University, School of International Education of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and other universities and foreign affairs departments aimed at comprehensively promoting major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics and international communication of colleges and universities. Special training on international cooperation mode and cross-cultural communication in the new era was conducted.

From the perspective of improving the professional skill and international communication ability of foreign affairs cadres in our province, this training aims to build a high-quality and professional team of foreign affairs cadres in education, develop a 3-year plan for international cooperation of “the Belt and the Road” education of universities, improve the quality of international cooperation of “the Belt and the Road” education action of universities, and help the high-quality development of internationalized universities.
