Combined with the professional BIM research direction, the School of Intelligent Science and Engineering of the school selected 6 modules and set up 14 teams from the Department of Engineering Costing and Civil Engineering to participate in the 10th National Colleges and Universities BIM Graduation Design Innovation Competition. After more than half a year of careful organisation and guidance, teachers and students made joint efforts to achieve a number of results: one group second prize, five third prizes and eight excellence awards. Duan Xiaoxiao, Zhai Ying, Song Shengnan, Zhao Ran, Wang Shufang and Yang Jin were awarded the title ofExcellent Instructor.

The competition improved students' practical application skills of BIM technology and deepened their understanding of the cutting-edge technology of the profession and the whole construction industry. It strongly promotes BIM technology into the graduation design, improves the innovativeness of graduation design of civil engineering and engineering costing majors, promotes the quality of applied talent training, and lays a solid foundation for students' future career.
It is reported thatNational Colleges and Universities BIM Graduation Design Innovation Competitionis one of the largest and most specialised collegiate architectural events in China selected in theRanking of Competitions for Students in General Colleges and Universities, and belongs to the national class B event. This event aims to implement the national14th Five-Year Planstrategy ofaccelerating digital development and building a digital China, comprehensively cultivate the innovative thinking and scientific research ability of college students, improve the knowledge of college students on digital architecture, and build a platform for mutual exchange, learning and demonstration. It also builds a platform for exchange, learning and exhibition, and realises the purpose of promoting teaching, learning and creation by competition.
