On November 16th, the High-Quality Development Conference and the 75th Anniversary Celebration of China Women’s University (National Women’s Federation Cadre Training College) was held in Beijing. Liu Yuelian,VicePresident of Xi’an Peihua University and Li Meng,Assistant to the President of the Women’s College, were invited to attend this grand event. The conference was hosted by Liu Yamei, Secretary of the Party Committee of China Women’[s University (National Women’s Federation Cadre Training College).
Chen Yiqin,State Councilor and Chairperson of the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF);Huang Xiaowei, Party Secretary and Vice Chairperson of the ACWF;Ma Jun, Party Member of the Beijing Municipal People’s Government and Vice Mayor;Zhao Fengtao, Deputy Director-General of the National International Development and Cooperation Agency, and Liao Xiangzhong, Party Secretary of Communication University of China, delivered speeches. Additionally, Shahbaz Khan, Director of the UNESCO East Asia and Multisectoral Regional Bureau and UNESCO Representative in China, delivered a video message.
The conference launched the “Rose Bloom” Initiative for Women’s Digital Empowerment and initiated the “Digital Youthful Charm” Action Plan for Digital Empowerment of Women’s Education, leveraging the power of education to support women’s growth and illuminating women’s future with digital development.
At the Forum on High-Quality Development of Women’s Universities with Chinese Characteristics, Liu Yuelian, Vice President of Xi’an Peihua University, delivered a keynote speech titledExploration of the Structural Adjustment of New Liberal Arts Majors in the Context of Digital Transformation. Vice President Liu Yuelian engaged in discussions with leaders from 13 institutions within the China Women’s Universities Alliance on issues and countermeasures for the high-quality development of women’s universities with Chinese characteristics. She highly praised the contributions made by China Women’s University in leading digital empowerment for women’s education and talent cultivation. She said that Xi’an Peihua University will definitely strengthen cooperation with alliance member universities to jointly implement theDigital Empowerment Initiative for Wome’s Education, leveraging high-quality international and domestic educational resources to build interconnected digital platforms, design scientifically systematic curricula, and launch digital future training camps for female university students. By illuminating women’s future with digital development, the university aims to cultivate more outstanding female talents with international perspectives and innovative spirits for the country.
During the conference, Vice President Liu Yuelian and Assistant to the President of the School of Women’s Studies,Li Meng,also participated in the Academic Seminar on Marriage, Family, and Gender Equality in the New Era, which was hosted by the School of Social Work of China Women’s University and the Women/Gender Sociology Professional Committee of the Chinese Sociological Association.
