Recently, 2024 China University Science and Technology Achievements Fair was held in Nanjing. Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng, and Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress Xin Changxing attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education Wu Yan hosted the opening ceremony. Liu Qingying, Deputy Director of Research Management Center of Xi’an Peihua University, and Wang Xudong, Head of Maker Center, along with representatives of student innovation and entrepreneurship projects and alumni enterprises, participated in the event.

The university’s Maker Center participated in the exhibition with seven innovative projects jointly developed by faculty and students. The projects included the “Intelligent Tool Condition Monitoring System Based on Vibration Signal Analysis and Machine Learning,” the “Industrial IoT Predictive Maintenance and Diagnostic System,” the “Domestic AI Ascend Computing Platform (Board),” the “Smart Perception and Centralized Control System for Lighting and Air Conditioning in Co-working Spaces to Optimize Energy Efficiency and Emission Reduction,” the “PX11 Multi-Rotor/Fixed-Wing Multi-Purpose Flying Tower,” and the “Heavy-Duty 7 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.” The participating representatives provided detailed explanations of the projects to experts and corporate representatives who inquired at the event, garnering widespread attention and interest.
The university attaches great importance to the innovation and entrepreneurship of college students and the transformation and application of scientific research achievements, focusing on building diversified platforms for industry-university-research cooperation to accurately meet the market demand. At the same time, the university also constructs a multilevel team of innovation and entrepreneurship mentors and technology managers, aiming to provide efficient and targeted support for the the cultivation, incubation, and transfer of innovative outcomes. In addition, the university has also established a comprehensive incentive mechanism to fully mobilize all parties, continuously enhancing the support for the university’s high-quality development, and contributing to the new development of the regional economy and society.

It is reported that this science trade fair was hosted by Higher Education Scientific Research Development Center of the Ministry of Education and the National University Regional Technology Transfer and Transformation Center (Jiangsu). With the theme “Mutual Commitment Between Universities and Enterprises, Joint Innovation by Faculty and Students, and Collaborative Efforts Among Government, Industry, Academia, and Finance to Pioneer a New Era of Technology Transfer and Transformation,” the event attracted participation from 425 universities nationwide and nearly 3,000 enterprises, showcasing a total of 2,716 cutting-edge technological achievements. The fair held 12 project roadshows and results promotion sessions, with more than 100 science and technology finance, technology transfer institutions and more than 300 technical managers facilitating project matchmaking and transaction services. These efforts provided professional consultation services to bridge supply and demand, accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into practical productivity.
