To consolidate the ideological foundation of the youth, stimulate the vitality of cultural inheritance, and practice the new trend of civilization practice in the new era, the “Chang’an Has Poetry, Civilization Has You” New Era Civilization Practice Express themed event was held on May 21st in the lecture hall of the Mingde Building at Xi’an Peihua University. The event was jointly organized by the Xi’an New Era Civilization Practice Guidance Center, the Civilization Office of the Chang’an District Committee, andHuashang Daily, and co-organized by the Publicity Department of the Party Committee and the Youth League Committee of Xi’an Peihua University. This event specially invited Feng Jiachen,recognizeda“Good Person of Shaanxi”and the actress who played the“Untoppling Doll Girl”in the Tang Dynasty Ever-Bright City, and Meng Yang, a member of the“Qin People Star”Moral Model Propaganda Team of Xi’an City, to serve as the guest speakers. Drawing on their own experiences, they delivered a wonderful thematic presentation.
Feng Jiachen, under the title of“Traditional Culture Enters Campus”, shared how to showcase the youthful charm in the dissemination of traditional culture.“Traditional culture has the beauty of moderation and symmetry. Where do the students think the beauty of traditional culture lies?”Combining the etiquette of the prosperous Tang Dynasty with modern civilization, she vividly interpreted the spiritual core of traditional culture and led the young people ofXi’an Peihua Universityin to the wonderful world of traditional culture. She said that only by drawing nourishment from history can the light of civilization illuminate the future. The young people fromXi’an Peihua University on the spot were full of anticipation as they jointly welcomed this collision and exchange of ideas and wisdom. They deeply realized that traditional culture not only has a profound historical background but also contains endless power of inheritance, which is worthy ofcontinuing to write the brilliant starry river of culture with the arms of youth.
Meng Yang focused on youth entrepreneurship and practice, posing thought-provoking questions to Peihua’s young people. He shared his own journey—from a university student entrepreneur to engaging in grassroots governance—illustrating the importance of mastering any chosen field. By doing so, he helped students establish correct values and conveyed the strength and responsibility of moral role models. He emphasized that youth should not be about chasing unrealistic dreams alone but also about being down-to-earth. Meng encouraged Peihua’s youth to create their ideal lives through steady and practical efforts.
The event combined theoretical presentations with video displays, blending traditional culture with the spirit of the times. Many students present expressed that they benefited greatly. “We can both inherit and innovate traditional culture. On campus, we can promote traditional culture through more activities,” said Zhu Yuanyuan, a sophomore student.
The successful holding of this event represents a powerful practice in youth ideological guidance, cultural inheritance, and innovation and entrepreneurship. Moving forward, Xi’an Peihua University will continue to use civilized practice as a strong brush to add brilliance to the blueprint of higher education in the new era.
