
Visiting Professor at Xi'an Peihua University. President and Chief Executive Officer of the New York Film Academy. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Visual Studies from Harvard University, where his graduation film "McJew" was nominated for the Student Academy Award for Best Documentary. He subsequently earned a Master of Fine Arts in Film Directing from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and completed two years of training in the Meisner acting technique. In 1992, at the invitation of founder Jerry Sherlock, he assisted in designing the Academy's enrollment curriculum, promoting an educational philosophy centered on "practice-based, fully immersive learning." Beyond his administrative role, Mr. Young actively engages in film and television production, having served as a documentary cinematographer and executive producer for projects including the 2023 Sony Pictures Classics release "Turn Every Page." He frequently leads delegations to visit universities worldwide and delivers speeches and shares insights on film education and creative expression across multiple platforms.
