(1) University Profile

The National University of Singapore (NUS) was established in 1980 through the merger of Nanyang University and the University of Singapore. Located in the Republic of Singapore, NUS is a member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities, the Asian Universities Alliance, the Global University Leaders Forum, the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education, the International Alliance of Research Universities, Universitas 21, the Global Engineering Education Alliance, and the International Network of Universities for Applied Science and Technology.

NUS comprises 17 faculties spread across three main campuses: Kent Ridge, Bukit Timah, and Outram. The university offers a wide range of interdisciplinary and cross-faculty programs and operates 12 overseas colleges worldwide. In the 2024 QS World University Rankings, NUS is ranked 8th globally.

The university consists of 16 schools, including 12 undergraduate colleges and 4 graduate colleges, offering 60 bachelor’s degree programs and 174 master’s, doctoral, and graduate diploma programs. Additionally, NUS has seven overseas colleges in major global innovation hubs such as Shanghai and Beijing in China, Israel, India, Stockholm in Sweden, Silicon Valley in the United States, and BioValley.
