In the afternoon of September 9, Xi’an Peihua University held the 2021 Teacher’s Day Celebration & Honoring Ceremony in the lecture hall of Weizhi Library. Nearly 300 people - all the administrators of the university, heads of Colleges (departments) and centers, representatives of teachers and student supervisors - attended the ceremony.

The ceremony honored the construction projects of the provincial first-class undergraduate majors in 2020, the construction projects of the first-class undergraduate programs in 2021, and 180 persons - groups and individuals who did excellent job in teaching management in Shaanxi Institutions of higher education in 2020, groups and individuals winning awards in the 2020 Shaanxi University Mass Drill of the Ideological and Political Theory Teaching, excellent teachers, exemplary staff members, excellent student supervisors, university-level exemplary groups and individuals with professional ethics, the Most Beautiful Teachers and the Most Beautiful Working Staff in Peihua. Certificates were awarded by administrators present.
The faculty representative, Associate Professor Mao Lijun from the School of Intelligent Science and Information Engineering, delivered a speech.Associate Professor Mao Lijun looked back on her 23 years of teaching experience in Xi’an Peihua University. During the 23 years, she had witnessed the expansion of the university from Gaoxin District to Chang’an District, the achievements of the University and the increasing social recognition. She said that for her, the representative of the award-winning teachers, this honor meant both responsibility and ardent expectation. In the future, she would continue to shoulder her responsibility, care about students, focus on teaching practice, carry forward the university motto, teach with virtue and be the teacher with faith, virtue, knowledge and kindness in the new era, so as to cultivate high-quality talents with all-round development of morality, intellect, physique, aesthetic appreciation and labor for the Party and the country, inject practical “blood” and fresh vitality into the society in a sustainable way and keep writing the magnificent chapter of education career.
Student Representative, Li Yuanyuan from the School of Accounting and Finance delivered a speech.On behalf of all students, Li Yuanyuan wished all teachers a happy Teacher’s Day. With great sincerity, she said that on the way of growing up, it was teachers who helped students build up their spiritual world and taught them kindness, grace, calmness and boldness. In the future, she would remember the kindness of teachers, set great ambitions, strive to understand lofty virtues and become an outstanding talent, take up heavy responsibilities, and go forward together with the new era.

Dr. Jiang Bo, President, delivered a speech.
On behalf of Dr. Jiang Bo extended his sincere greetings to all teachers on Teacher’s Day. He said that Peihua had gone through 93 years with the spirit of selfless dedication and perseverance, and the current achievements were the result of the relay, efforts, expectations and persuit of several generations of Peihua people. He said that education was the greatest cause, and Peihua University would continue to uphold Mr. Jiang Weizhi’s “people-oriented and virtue-first” philosophy to shape talents with ideal and persistence in pursuing their dreams, and to cultivate more people who would feel grateful to the society and have the ability to give back to the society. He suggested that educators should continue to exert the power of role models, not forgetting the original intention, remembering the mission, facing the new journey with the mentality of starting from scratch and keeping pace with the times and the industry. Meanwhile, in the future, Peihua University should continue to give full play to the advantages of being a private university, put the cultivation of undergraduate talents at the core, pursue excellence, and explore the road of education suitable for Peihua personnel.
