Recently, in order to commemorate the 12^th anniversary of the establishment of Ikeda Daisaku Xiangfengzi Research Center of Xi'an Peihua University and to promote Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges and cooperation, a series of activities on Ikeda Daisaku's educational philosophy and Sino-Japanese friendly exchanges were successfully held in Xi’an Peihua University.

On the afternoon of December 16^th, the online forum on Daisaku Ikeda's educational philosophy and Sino-Japanese friendship was successfully held. Leaders, experts and scholars from Xi'an Peihua University, Soka University, Shaanxi Normal University, Northeast Normal University and Tianjin University gathered online to study Daisaku Ikeda's educational philosophy, exchange Mr. Daisaku Ikeda's expositions on the spirit of Sino-Japanese friendship, and explore a new mode of cooperation between Chinese and Japanese universities.

President Masashi Suzuki of Soka University expressed his heartfelt thanks to Chairman Jiang Bo and teachers from Chinese and Japanese universities for their efforts to successfully hold the forum, and highly agreed Xi'an Peihua University's "people-oriented, morality first" school-running philosophy, school vocational education and women's education achievements. President Suzuki introduced the general situation of exchanges and cooperation between Soka University and Xi’an Peihua University to the participants, and expressed his hope to continue to train outstanding young people with Xi’an Peihua university, and to take this forum as a new starting point for exchanges. On the morning of December 14^th, the first Sino-Japanese Calligraphy Exhibition of Peihua Cup was held at the School Art Museum. The opening ceremony was attended by the general coordinator of the public platform of Chinese calligraphy and art figures, Mr. Zhang Li, editor-in-chief of Shaanxi Calligraphy and Painting Network; Wang Mingwei, general manager of Xi'an Yitai Japanese-style Pension Consulting Co., Ltd.; Dr. Jiang Bo, president of Xi'an Peihua University; Wang Peng, director of the International Exchange Center, and Ma Shumao, director of Ikeda Daisaku Research Center.

At the opening ceremony, Chairman Jiang Bo first expressed his heartfelt thanks to people from all walks of life who cared about and supported the event. He pointed out that Xi’an Peihua University has always been committed to promoting friendly exchanges between Chinese and Japanese people, continuously deepening exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Japanese universities in science, technology, art, culture and medical treatment, and will actively build an international exchange platform for young people in the future. He wished the first Sino-Japanese Calligraphy Exhibition of Peihua Cup a complete success. Subsequently, the guests cut the ribbon for the exhibition. Ma Shumao, director of Daisaku Ikeda Research Center, explained the exhibition works to the guests and presented inscriptions to the organizers.

In this calligraphy exhibition, there are more than 70 calligraphy works created by teachers and students from Matsumiya Calligraphy Museum, Soka Gakuen and Xi’an Peihua University, including 30 Japanese works and 40 works created by teachers and students from Xi’an Peihua Univeristy. Among them, there are 20 hard-pen calligraphy works, which are copied by the members of Peihua's calligraphy community after learning to read Mr. Daisaku Ikeda's work "Youth Copy". In his explanation, Director Ma Shumao pointed out that the "Peihua Cup" has the meaning of cultivating talents from both countries and making them shine. The friendship between China and Japan has a long history, and the calligraphy art of the two countries has the same origin, and there are similar rules in the form of expression, especially in the use of brush pen and ink. In the future, Daisaku Ikeda Research Center will continue to promote exchanges between Chinese and Japanese students, create more opportunities for cooperation, and make continuous efforts to give full play to personal characteristics and implement the goal of "people-oriented" education.

The two events embodied the pioneering spirit of the young people of China and Japan, and further enhanced the mutual understanding and common friendship between the scholars of the two countries. In the future, Xi'an Peihua University will take the 50^th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations as a new starting point, deepen exchanges and cooperation among universities, and make new contributions to the cultivation of young people with an international perspective in the new era and the promotion of Sino-Japanese friendship.
