On April 15th, the First General Meeting & Inaugurating Meeting of Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association was held in Xi’an Peihua University. Tian Yuping, Chairman of China Industrial Cooperation Association and former Director of the Supervision and Inspection Department of State Commission Office of Public Sectors Reform, and Shan Yaofeng, Director of Shaanxi Provincial Social Organization Administration, attended the meeting and made speeches, and Zhang Xinsheng, Deputy Director of Personnel Department of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology,etc. attended the meeting and provided guidance. Cao Hui, full-time Vice Chairman of Shaanxi Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Rong Dawei, Vice Chairman of International Committee for the Promotion of Chinese Industrial Cooperatives and former national chairman of Newzealnd-China Friendship Association, Zhang Yuanlin, standing committee member of International Committee for the Promotion of Chinese Industrial Cooperatives and director of ICCIC Agriculture Special Committee, Jiang Bo, vice chairman of ICCIC and president of Xi’an Peihua University, Luo Xinyuan, Secretary of Party Committee of Xi’an Peihua University, Zhang Xufeng, former chief economist of Shaanxi Rural Agriculture Department, and Hui Chaoyang, Executive Director of the China Industrial Cooperation Association and Secretary of the Party Committee of Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, and Zhang Fuzeng, former Secretary General of Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association, attended the meeting and took their seats at the podium.

At the meeting, Comrade Shan Yaofeng, Director of Shaanxi Social Organization Administration, read out affirmative written decision of administrative license issued by Shaanxi Provincial Department of Civil Affairs; listened to the report on the preparatory work made by Qin Quan’an, member of the preparatory group of Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association and the executive member of China Industrial Cooperation International Committee and director of China Industrial Cooperation Association; considered and adopted three documents such as Constitution, Ways of Charging and Election Method ; Zhang Fengguo, member of the preparatory group of Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association and general manager of Xi’an Datang Telecom Co.
The Assembly Elects New Council Members
At the meeting, Jiang Bo was elected as the chairman of the association, Ding Yunbo as the chief supervisor, Tian Hao, Zhang Fengguo, Yang Liu, Qin Quan’an as the vice chairman and the secretary-general, Liu Yu and Tang Wenhui were nominated as the deputy secretary-general.

Leaders attending the meeting issued letters of appointment to the newly elected President, chief supervisor, vice president and secretary general. Tian Yuping, Shan Yaofeng, Zhang Xinsheng, Jiang Bo and other comrades jointly inaugurated the Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association. Yang Liu, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Xi’an Textile Holding Co., LTD., read a congratulatory letter sent to the meeting by Li Jinzhu, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Congress and former vice governor of the provincial government.

Chairman Jiang Bo Made a Speech
As the new Chairman of the association, Jiang Bo reviewed the preparatory process of Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association in detail in his speech. He said that the establishment of Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association is the glory of all members of Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association. He also expressed his gratitude to people from all walks of life, enterprises and institutions who have long supported the development of Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association. He expressed the hope that Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association should base itself on the new era, actively carry out various exchange activities, spread the voice of Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association and promote the deeds of Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association. Tian Yuping, director general of China Industrial Cooperation Association, pointed out in her speech that Shaanxi is one of the birthplaces of China Industrial Cooperation Association, and the Sanqin land has left the footprints of Industrial Cooperation Association people’s patriotic struggle everywhere, and Industrial Cooperation Association has a profound influence in Shaanxi. Through historical materials and objects, they further understood the historical development of Industrial Cooperation Association and enhanced the sense of mission of Industrial Cooperation Association people.
It is learned that China Industrial Cooperation Association was founded in Wuhan in August 1938 under the guidance of the Communist Party of China, initiated by international friends Rewi Alley, Edgar Snow and his wife and patriotic democratic activists, and constructed and led by lead senior officials of the Communist Party of China and the Kuomintang. It is the product of the second cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China. It is the manifestation of the national united front of the Chinese people’s resistance against Japanese aggression. It is also the only social organization jointly founded by the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China in the mainland and still carrying out activities. Shaanxi Industrial Cooperation Association is under the guidance, supervision and management of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and Shaanxi Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. It is a social organization with features of advanced nature, united front and economy established voluntarily by Shaanxi provincial industrial enterprises, industry-related enterprise units, public institutions, social organizations and people and organizations who are enthusiastic about industrial cooperation undertakings.
