Recently, the 7th Shaanxi College Legal Culture Festival came to its conclusion. The “new-media” law popularization drama “Dawn is Around the Corner”, instructed by Liu Yu, the minister of the Propaganda Department of Peihua University’s Party Committee, along with Zhao Jie, the vice dean of School of Humanities and International Education, was awarded the “Top Ten Innovative Law Popularization Activities”. The university was awarded the “Excellent Organizer”. Two students Zhang Fangcheng and Zhang Caiyun respectively won the first and third prizes in the “Civil Code Pioneer” Quiz Contest.

The “new-media” law drama “Dawn is Around the Corner” was filmed by Law majors Gong Bo, Liu Yao, Zhang Zijun, Xu Tian, Shan Xuxin, Hu Kun, Yang Yiqian, Su Haiyang, Qian Liang, and Wang Can from School of Humanities and International Education. The drama focuses on campus violence, and uses the experience of a transfer student Xiao Kai to raise awareness of the legal principles of “timely seeking help”, “refusing to use violence to suppress violence”, and “using legal means to protect rights”.

The law should respond to people’s voice. Every citizen should learn the Civil Code to safeguard his legitimate rights and interests. It is crucial to make it deeply rooted in people’s hearts. This award will also inspire Peihua students to firmly follow the path of law popularization and publicity with modesty and persistence, aiming at greater achievements in the future contests.
