In the afternoon of June 16th, Dr. Andreas Mierau, member of the University Board of Luxembourg LUNEX International University of Health, Exercise and Sports, along with Mr. Zhan Yong, independent director, and Mr. Theisen Marc, attorney of the Board, as well as other representatives visited Peihua university. Vice President Liu Yuelian, Director Wang Peng of International Exchange Center, Dean Wang Zhiqiang of School of Physical Education, Vice Dean Wang Juning of School of Medicine, Deputy Director Sun Wenlin of Industrial Economy Research Center and other representatives had a discussion with the guests and toured them around.
At the meeting, Vice President Liu Yuelian firstly delivered a welcome speech, expressing warm welcome to guests from Luxembourg LUNEX International University of Health, Exercise and Sports, and at the same time introduced to the delegates the history of the university, disciplines and specialties, international exchanges and cooperation, and an overview of the School of Medicine and the School of Physical Education. Dean Wang Zhiqiang mainly introduced the faculty of the School of Physical Education and Sport, the teaching and research, the practice and competition results.
Dr. Andreas Mierau from Luxembourg LUNEX International University of Health, Exercise and Sports delivered a speech and expressed his heartfelt thanks for the warm reception of the university. He said that China is an important partner of Luxembourg and the two countries are committed to reaching deeper exchanges and cooperation in economy, culture and education. He introduced the current situation of Luxembourg, the international, innovative and interdisciplinary philosophy of LUNEX International University of Health, Exercise and Sports and the university’s profile, focusing on the international scientific research achievements in health and physical education, university-enterprise cooperation and curriculum. Finally, the two sides exchanged views on the exchange training of teachers in Luxembourg, and the path of overseas academic upgrading for the students of the School of Physical Education and the School of Medicine.
After the meeting, the guests from LUNEX International University of Health, Exercise and Sports visited the laboratory of the School of Medicine, gymnasium, gymnastics training room and archery training room.
