On July 19th, the forth plenary meeting of Xi’an Education Federation of the Arts, together with its re-election conference, was held at Chang’an Campus, Xi’an Peihua University.
Zhang Jianing, director of the institution division of Xi’an Academy of Social Sciences (Xi’an Federation of Social Sciences), attended the meeting to express congratulations and delivered a speech. She gave great recognition to the contribution made by the third leadership team and congratulation to the new leadership team. She hoped that under the leadership of the new team, Xi’an Education Federation of the Arts would do more for the art education and social science in Shaanxi. She promised that Xi’an Federation of Social Sciences would offer a better stage and more opportunities to make it a fine example for other institutions.
Jiang Bo, the newly elected president of Xi’an Education Federation of the Arts, introduced the experience of art education and aesthetic education of Xi’an Peihua University. He was sure that the new leadership team would work together creatively, carry on the fine tradition of the Federation, and continue to construct it with “5A” standard, to bring it more vigor in the new era by actively exploring new ways of aesthetic education. He also hoped that all the members and member units could communicate and cooperate extensively to fulfil our mission and foster our value.
At the meeting, he read the reply from Xi’an Civil Affairs Bureau on the approval of the first plenary meeting of the fourth session of Xi’an Education Federation of the Arts, and Yue Pengfei, secretary general of the Federation, reported on general work and finance of the Federation, and chaired the review. Then Liu Liying, the host of this meeting, read the Charter of the Federation (draft of the amendment), Regulations of Membership Fees, Internal Regulations, Election Rules, all voted and passed.
At the re-election conference, Jiang Bo, board chairman of Xi’an Peihua University, was elected as the president the Federation. Zhou Donghua, professor from the School of Journalism and Communication, Northwest University, Liu Rongdi, professor and director of the Art Education Center, Xi’an Peihua University, Chen Pengmin, former head of the dance troupe of Song and Dance Troup of Xi’an, and vice dean of School of Music, Shaanxi Normal University, Zhao Siyuan, actor, director and producer of Xiying Group, Zhang Li, dean of Design Department of Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, and Bai Fan, the board chairman of Xi’an Boya Yilian Education Group, are elected as vice president of the Federation. Yue Pengfei, head of Xi’an Lanyi Art Training School, was elected as secretary general of the Federation. Liu Peng, who is in charge of Xi’an Boya Education of Chines Ink and Wash, was elected as supervisor.
At the meeting, Zhang Jianing awarded Jiang Bo, the newly elected president, his letter of appointment, and Jiang Bo, awarded the letters of appointment to others. After the meeting, all the participants visited the History Museum of Xi’an Peihua University to learn about its 95-year history.
Co-founded 15 years ago by all the schools in Xi’an, colleges and universities in Shaanxi, organizations and individuals engaged in art education and related businesses, Xi’an Education Federation of the Arts is reported to be a non-profit, local and academic social organization and promote the art education in Xi’an. Its mission is to organize, coordinate and guide all the art schools and teachers in Xi’an, organize seminars and conferences on art education, provide a stage for them to show their talent and art skills, study and explore new ways and methods of art education for schools in Xi’an, to contribute actively to the development of art education.
