In order to further promote campus aesthetic education activities, enrich the extracurricular cultural life of college students, and enhance students’core qualities such as aesthetic perception and artistic expression, on May 30, the College Student Art Exhibition and theFinals of 28thCampus Singer Competitionhosted by Xi’an Art Education Society and Xi’an PeihuaUniversitywere held in the school stadium.This competition invited judgessuch asFan Ping, directorandmaster’ssupervisorof theVocalTeaching andResearch department of the School of Music Education of Xi’an Conservatory of Music;Yang Baoling, member of the Chinese Musicians Association and master’ssupervisorof Xi’an Conservatory of Music;Liu Rongdi,member of the Shaanxi Provincial College Aesthetic Education Teaching Steering Committee, deputy director ofthe Xi’an Art Education Societyand deputydirector of the Art Education Center;Qi Kun, Liu Hanyue, Zhang Jingwen, Zhang Ru and other teachers from the Art Education Centerof Peihua University.

The repertoireofthecompetitionwasrich and colorful,andwaspresentedasart on the stage. Wonderful performances such as the songs“AnticlockwiseClock”,“Water Rhythm”,“As Spring”, the dance“CHA CHA CHA”, the song medley“EndlessSound”, etc., demonstrated the youthfulnessand energyofXi’anPeihuaUniversitystudents and theirexcellenceinsingingand dancing.

A total of 174 contestants signed up for this competition, and 12 contestants entered the finals. After fierce competition, Qiu Lexiao’s“So What IfIWin the World, but Lose You”won the first prize; Zhang Ziying’s“Under the Flying Clouds”, Zhang Lanxin’s“Yang Pei Chu Xin”won the second prize; Deng Yanchang’s“SleeplessMonica”, Zhang Yutong’s“Daybreak”, and Lu Yihan’s“The World”won the third prize; Wang Weijia’s“I”and Huo Yuxuan’s“NoLights Club”, Wang Jiayin’s“Blue and White Porcelain”, Liu Jinbo’s“Sequel”, Luo Yerui’s“Tiptoe to Love”, Wang Xingzhi’s“Don’t Worry”won the Excellence Award.
Judges Yang Baoling and Fan Ping said that the contestants hadtheir own strengths, unique singing styles, and strong stage performance. During the competition, they fully felt the contestants’enthusiasm and the diverse university campus culture.
