On the morning of August 21, Professor Wang Zhiying,director of the International Exchange Department at Okinawa University, visited Xi’an Peihua University and held a discussion with the Japanese language faculty of the Department of Foreign Languages at the School of Humanities and International Education. Li Guodong,director of the Foreign Languages Department,deputy director Cao Changchun, and the entire Japanese language faculty participated in the exchange event.

Before the discussion, Professor Liu Yuelian,vicepresident of Xi’an Peihua University anddean of the School of Humanities and International Education, met with Professor Wang Zhiying. Liang Rui,executive vice dean of the School of Humanities and International Education,deputydean Luan Boqiang, and Li Guodong,director of the Foreign Languages Department, accompanied.

Li Guodong,director of the Foreign Languages Department, expressed his welcome and gratitude for Professor Wang Zhiying’s visit. He provided an overview of the history, key disciplines, and future development of Xi’an Peihua University. Deputy Director of the Foreign Languages Department, Cao Changchun, introduced the academic programs offered by the School of Humanities and International Education, the faculty, and opportunities for students to study abroad in Japan and participate in paid internships.

Professor Wang Zhiying provided a detailed introduction to the basic information about Okinawa University. It is understood that Okinawa University was founded in 1961 and comprises the School of Economics and Law, the School of Humanities, and the School of Health and Nutrition. The School of Humanities offers departments such as International Exchange, Welfare Culture, and Children’s Culture. The Department of International Exchange includes majors in English, Chinese, and Japanese.
Both parties expressed their hope to collaborate in the future in areas such as joint research, faculty exchange programs, student exchange, professional internships and practical training, as well as online exchanges between university students.
