Peihua Management Cadres and Key Teachers' Study Group Visits Singapore for Learning and Exchange

Recently, led by Vice President Professor Yao Wenjing and Assistant President Associate Professor Bao Wei, the management cadres and key teachers' study group from Xi'an Peihua University successfully completed a special study and training cooperation project in Singapore. The purpose of this study tour was to enhance the comprehensive quality and international perspective of the management cadres and key teachers, and to learn from the advanced experiences of Singaporean universities in smart education, higher education management, and industry-education integration.

The opening ceremony of the study tour was held at the Nanyang Institute of Management in Singapore. Professor Yao Wenjing expressed her gratitude for the warm reception from the Nanyang Institute of Management and briefly introduced the background, purpose, and expected outcomes of this study tour. She emphasized that this study tour was a valuable opportunity for learning and exchange, and she hoped that everyone would cherish the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of Singapore's advanced educational experiences and contribute to the reform and development of the university's education and teaching. Zhang Xuwei, President of the Nanyang Institute of Management, also delivered a speech welcoming the study group and briefly introduced the specific arrangements for the study tour. The Singapore study tour was meticulously planned, with a reasonable schedule, rich content, and scientific projects. It included lectures from renowned Singaporean experts and scholars, visits to several prestigious Singaporean universities, group discussions, and summary presentations.

------ Attending Lectures by Renowned Experts, Exploring New Dimensions of Education

The study group attended lectures by Professor Cui Feng from Nanyang Technological University on"An Overview of Social Education Development in Singapore", Professor Wu Wei on"Educational Research Development and Management in the Context of Digital Management", and Professor Wang Hang on"Student Management and Residential Education". Professor Liu Xiaogang from the Singapore University of Technology and Design presented on"The New Educational Model at SUTD: Interdisciplinary Integration and Practice Led by Design Science", while Professor Geng Xuesong from Singapore Management University discussed"The Development and Management of Educational Research at SMU". Professor Julia from Singapore University of Social Sciences spoke on"The Application of Information Technology in Innovative Education and Teaching in Universities", and Professor Zhou Tianyi from the Singapore Frontier Artificial Intelligence Center delivered a lecture on"Artificial Intelligence Empowering High-Quality Development in Universities". These expert reports provided insights into Singapore's social landscape, educational development, information technology applications, and technological advancements, allowing the team members to deeply appreciate the inclusiveness, innovation, and internationalization of Singapore's education system. The lectures offered valuable inspiration and reflection, greatly benefiting the participants.

------ On-Site Visits to Five Prestigious Universities, Broadening Horizons

The team also visited several renowned universities in Singapore, including the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore University of Technology and Design, Singapore University of Social Sciences, Singapore Management University, as well as the Singapore Institute of Management and Nanyang Institute of Management. The beautiful campus environments, advanced teaching facilities, and strong academic atmosphere left a deep impression on the team members. During the campus tours, the team members gained a detailed understanding of the teaching facilities, research platforms, and international collaborations at these universities, and engaged in in-depth exchanges with faculty members. Vice President Yao Wenjing presented commemorative gifts to each university on behalf of Xi'an Peihua University, strengthening the friendship between the institutions.

------ Summarizing and Sharing the Results of the Study Tour, Striving for Excellence

At the closing ceremony, members of each group shared their experiences and insights from the study tour, engaging in in-depth discussions on Singapore's education system, cultural characteristics, and advanced educational concepts. Assistant President Bao Wei and President Zhang Xuwei of the Nanyang Institute of Management summarized the achievements and outcomes of the study tour and looked forward to future collaborations. Through this study tour, the team members gained a profound understanding of the diversity and inclusiveness of Singapore's education system, the charm of its advanced educational concepts and practices, the advantages of its excellent faculty and teaching resources, and the appeal of its cultural and humanistic landscapes. These insights not only broadened the horizons of the team members but also provided strong support for the future reform and development of the university's education and teaching.

This study tour provided a comprehensive examination of higher education in Singapore, broadening international perspectives and increasing knowledge.
