Veterinary Medicine
Guided by national strategies for modern animal husbandry, pet health industry and public health security, the Veterinary Medicine program at Xi’an Peihua University aims to cultivate high-level interdisciplinary veterinary professionals equipped with solid theoretical foundations, outstanding clinical skills and innovative research capabilities. The major adopts a curriculum framework of “3.5 years of theoretical study plus 1.5 years of intensive practical training”, adhering to the teaching philosophy of “early exposure to practice, frequent practical training and full-cycle practical learning”. Relying on on-campus training bases and ecological practice platforms, the program systematically improves students’ clinical operation proficiency and comprehensive practical competence.

Artificial Intelligence
Centered on the national “AI Plus” strategy, the Artificial Intelligence program takes Shaanxi as its base, serves Western China and extends its influence nationwide. Supported by the Top-tier Huawei ICT Academy, the major follows the industry-education integration and collaborative talent cultivation model, targeting the training of engineering professionals capable of conducting research, development and practical application in the artificial intelligence sector. The program adopts a project-oriented teaching system built around authentic corporate projects. It has collaborated with leading enterprises including Huawei and Shenzhen Xunfang to launch customized order-based training classes, integrating occupational standards and full-cycle industrial projects into daily teaching. Students will systematically master core AI theories and mainstream development platforms, and acquire interdisciplinary capabilities to apply AI technologies flexibly to industries such as finance, medical care and manufacturing. Comprehensive practical development projects of intelligent robots connect all core courses covering speech recognition, computer vision, large language models and intelligent agent development, enabling students to fully experience the technical journey from theoretical learning to engineering practice.

Digital Economy
The Digital Economy program is an interdisciplinary major integrating digital technology and economics established by the university to align with the national digital economy development strategy and proactively support high-quality economic development in Western China. It is also a strategic emerging major prioritized by the university. Focusing on cutting-edge sectors including corporate digital transformation, cross-border e-commerce and smart finance, the major cultivates interdisciplinary talents proficient in both economic management and data science & information technology. Graduates are qualified for positions such as industrial analysts, financial data analysts, regional digital economy planners and e-commerce managers. In terms of talent training, the major has built a three-in-one cultivation system consisting of theoretical teaching, internships and practical training, as well as academic competitions. It strengthens the in-depth integration of digital technologies and economic management, and promotes the coordinated improvement of students’ data literacy, innovative thinking and practical capabilities, so as to truly realize the goal of “applying knowledge to practice and advancing learning through practice”.

The addition of these new majors marks a vital measure for the university to adhere to its dual-driven development strategy, align its development with industrial demands, continuously optimize the layout of disciplines and majors, and strengthen its capacity to serve industrial and regional growth. The university will boost the connotation development of the newly added majors, integrate high-quality teaching resources, further advance interdisciplinary integration, and cultivate high-caliber application-oriented talents for the economic and social development of the country and Western China.
