On the morning of May 11th, the press conference of “Catch Up and Surpass, Sanqin (Shaanxi) --- Video Exhibition Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party” was grandly held in Xi'an Peihua University, jointly sponsored by the Press and Photography Society of Shaanxi Province, China International Education Television, Shaanxi Radio And Television Financial Media Group (Shaanxi Radio And Television), Xi'an Peihua University, and reporter stations of Guangming Daily, China Daily, and China Youth Daily.
Leaders attended the event were Deng Li, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the 10th Shaanxi Provincial People's Congress; Zhang Jingao, Director of the Department of Shaanxi Federation of Social Sciences; Li Zhonghang, President of Shaanxi Senior Photographers Association; Li Shiqiang, President of China International Education Television; Jiang Bo, President of Xi'an Peihua University; Luo Xinyuan, Secretary of the Party Committee; Du Yaofeng, President of Shaanxi News Photographers Association and Dean of the School of Media and Communication of Xi'an Peihua University, etc. The conference was presided over by Mr. Shang Yong and Mr. Ren Qiuxuan.

On behalf of all Peihua teachers and students, President Jiang Bo welcomed and thanked all the celebrities in Shaanxi photography circles for coming to the school to participate in the press release ceremony of this video exhibition and broadcasting activity. He said that the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party is the most important event in China. This year is also the 93rd anniversary of Peihua. Peihua is a private university with a long history and revolutionary traditions. Since Peihua established its first party branch in 1938, it has experienced ups and downs all the way. The school has held many activities to educate students about revolutionary culture, party history, faith for young people, patriotism and so forth. President Jiang Bo said that although there was no sound in the photos and images, they recorded many unforgettable events in history. He hoped that when welcoming the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, Peihua students could grow together and witness the 100 years’ history of the founding of the Party through a series of meaningful activities in reviewing the past and looking forward to the future development of China. He hoped that the video exhibition could collect more excellent works to display to the Sanqin (Shaanxi) citizens, to the contemporary college students and to the people all over the country. It is hoped that the cause of education will be passed on from generation to generation.
Du Yaofeng, President of Shaanxi Society of Journalism and Photography and Dean of the School of Media and Communication of Xi'an Peihua University, briefed the guests and the news media on the preparations for “Catch Up and Surpass, Sanqin (Shaanxi) --- Video Exhibition Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party” and the arrangement of exhibition and broadcasting contents. This activity will be opened from Xi'an in mid-June and will be toured throughout the province through two paths: on-site exhibition in the exhibition hall and online exhibition. The content of the exhibition is a short video of news photos and new mindsets of Shaanxi people and landscape under the leadership of the party in 100 years since the founding of the Communist Party of China.
According to reports, the exhibition is divided into seven chapters:
(1) historical photos of Shaanxi People's Reconstruction organized and led by the Communist Party of China; (2) Targeted poverty alleviation, entering a well-off society, innovative development, catching up and surpassing, and the new image of Sanqin (Shaanxi); (3) Shaanxi's industries have accelerated development, new ideas, new achievements, new style and new image; (4) Landscape in Sanqin (Shaanxi) l improved people’s living condition in Sanqin, healthy elderly and children, harmonious humanities, positive and healthy attitude; (5) The ecological environment of Sanqin has changed and improved: Yan'an’s green mountains clear water; Yulin’s oasis from desert, the magical scenery of Qinling Mountains, Characteristics of tea, forest, rape and terrace in Qinba Mountain in southern Shaanxi, the Han River flowing into Beijing; (6) Revitalized Shaanxi's ancient civilization: the restoration and utilization of cultural relics, historic sites and buildings is live teaching materials for important tourism landscapes and for learning and inheriting traditional culture; (7) Shaanxi's characteristic development of science and technology, culture, art and education; innovative achievements of scientific research in colleges and universities; essence of aerospace industry manufacture; new achievements and images, in the land of Sanqin, of innovation made by the hard-working, kind-hearted, intelligent and responsible people of Shaanxi, under the leadership of the party.

In addition, a book donation ceremony was held during the press conference. Mr. Fan Deyuan, senior reporter of Xinhua News Agency, honorary president of Shaanxi News Photography Society and famous photographer; Wang Tianyu, senior reporter of Shaanxi daily, honorary president of Shaanxi News Photography Society and famous photographer; and researcher of Xi'an Film Studio Mr. Bai Hugo, a famous photographer of Shaanxi literature and History Museum, donated a collection of photographic works to Xi'an Peihua University.
“Catch Up and Surpass, Sanqin (Shaanxi) --- Video Exhibition Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party” was organized by the School of Media of Xi'an Peihua University, Xi'an Commercial Network, Shenmu Keming Industrial Development Co., Ltd. and the Organizing Committee of Beautiful Countryside International Video Festival.
