On May 11, 2021, the "Silk Road at The Fingertips -- Silk Road Women's Forum" jointly hosted by the All China Women's Federation（ACWF）and Shaanxi Provincial government was held in Xi 'an. Xia Jie, vice Chairman and Secretary of All China Women's Federation, and Zhuang Changxing, member of CPC Provincial Standing Committee and Secretary of CPC Provincial Political and Legal Committee attended and delivered a speech.
This forum is one of the important activities of the fifth Silk Expo and one of a series of activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of China's restoration of its lawful seat in the United Nations. More than 200 guests, including ambassadors from Zambia, Cape Verde, Mozambique and SAO Tome and Principe, 40 wives of diplomatic envoys and female diplomats from more than 20 countries, as well as officials of UN agencies in China, exchanged ideas on the theme of "Building the Belt and Road By Women". To showcase the experiences and practices of countries along the Silk Road in "Women and Poverty Reduction", "Women and Silk Road Cooperation" and "Women and Families".
This forum is of great significance for promoting exchanges and discussions among countries along the Silk Road and seeking common development. It is expected to carry out more cooperation and in-depth exchanges with women of all countries in the new era, pool women's strength, jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative, promote global gender equality and build a better home.Shaanxi Women's Federation said at the opening ceremony that it would take this forum as an opportunity to focus on communication between women and children, friendship among the people and cooperation on people's livelihood, and strive to promote women's sharing, integration and win-win in countries and regions along the Silk Road to create a brilliant chapter.
With the theme of "New Era, New Silk Road, New Women, New Development", the forum will provide a platform for communication and reach consensus on cooperation for silk Road women's handicraft inheritance, innovation and development through discussions, exhibitions, field visits and other ways.
Jiang Bo, President of Xi 'an Peihua University, Wang Peng, Executive Deputy Dean of Women's School and Director of International Exchange Center of Xi 'an Peihua University, and Ban Li , Deputy Dean of Women's School also participated in the forum to exchange and discussed with relevant participants about Silk Road women and shared the history of Xi 'an Peihua University.
It is understood that the event as "a new era, new silk road, the new women, the new development" as the theme, with both countries along the silk road to communicate the experience of the women's liberation movement, women's career development, and response to the "equality between men and women" basic national policy in our country, for women's college of xi 'an PeiHua University female education innovation and development provides a good experience.
