Appointment Ceremony of the Expert Committee and Discipline Construction and Development Forum “Expand Perspectives on Education and Focusing on High-Quality Development” were held by School of Architecture and Art Design in the lecture hall on October 28th to celebrate the 95th Anniversary of the founding of Xi’an Peihua University and to promote the high-quality development of the school and the university. More than 200 people were present, including Jiang Bo, chairman of the board of Xi’an Peihua University; Liu Yuelian, chairman of the Academic Committee and Vice President of Xi’an Peihua University; all members of the Expert Committee; representatives of enterprises and non-governmental organizations; directors of all administrative departments of Peihua University; deans of schools and directors of majors, as well as student representatives. They shared the latest development in Architecture and Art Design, and discussed the college education in depth with interdisciplinary integration and digital transformation, to better implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, serve regional innovation and development, and achieve high-quality development of the university. The ceremony was hosted by Wang Fei, secretary of the Party Committee and vice president of Administration of School of Architecture and Art Design, while the Forum was presided over by Dr. Yang Zhi, secretary general of the Expert Committee.

Jiang Bo expressed his heartfelt thanks to all parties that have provided support and help to Peihua in its development. He said that, with the development of the China’s revolution and the textile industry, Peihua has kept moving forward and made brilliant achievements in private undergraduate education. He called on every educational worker to work hard and find a way out when facing new challenges at the new starting point in the new era. He hoped that the founding of the Expert Committee of the School of Architecture and Art Design could bring education experts and industry talents together, and provide a platform for them to make joint efforts to help the school with its integration of industry and education, discipline construction, and high-quality development, as well as to make contribution to the education of Peihua, which is about to celebrate its 100th birthday, and pave the way for its high-quality development of undergraduate education.

Liu Yuelian, chairman of the Academic Committee and vice president of Xi’an Peihua University, awarded appointment certificates to the members of the Expert Committee, including Yang Huijun, Li Jie, Guo Jifeng, Liu Qibo, Liu Xiaofei, Liu Junsheng, Song Yongjun, Xia Eryuan, Yan Tianbing, Sheng Qian, and Yang Fan.

Professor Lin Baogang highly praised Peihua for its achievements in the past 95 years and believed that Peihua was one of the top private universities for its teaching quality, as well as discipline development and talent training. In its development over the past 95 years, Peihua has continuously improved its educational quality and overcame numerous difficulties to train a large number of talents for the country. He also said that in future, all the members of the Expert Committee would pool their efforts to assist Peihua to cultivate more high-quality talents with academic height and vision.

Professor Lin Baogang, Professor Guo Jifeng, and Dr. Yang Zhi, came to Academic Communication Centre of Xi’an Peihua University before the ceremony to visit the exhibition of teachers and students of School of Architecture and Art Design.
The forum was themed “Expanding Perspectives on Education and Focusing on High-Quality Development” and the experts discussed related issues about discipline development, innovation in scientific research, and talent training. They shared their study results and what they truly found, which was of great importance to the development of Peihua. The founding of the Expert Committee was an opportunity for Peihua to improve its internal development and highlight its special characteristics in the future, so as to continuously promote its quality development.
