The world moves on in a never-ending process of the new replacing the old. At this wonderful moment of blessing and hope, on behalf of the governing Board and the leadership team of Xi’an Peihua University, I would like to extend my cordial greetings and sincere blessings to all the teachers, staff, young students, alumni at home and abroad, parents of students and people from all walks of life!
Looking back at the year 2023, you’ll find it was a remarkable year. In 2023, Peihua people forged ahead and overcame difficulties. Here, I would like to say to all the teachers and students: I appreciate your efforts. In 2023, we passed the audit and evaluation work of undergraduate education teaching launched by the Ministry of Education, which made the teaching quality guarantee system more sound, the level of education and teaching significantly improved, and the ability of talent cultivation continuously strengthened, and was fully affirmed by the audit and evaluation expert group.
In 2023, we celebrated the anniversary of the founding of Xi’an Peihua University and strove to be the first-class university. 2023 witnessed the 95th anniversary of Peihua University, and we focused on academic themes and cultural innovation, carried out a series of 30 anniversary activities in six categories, held the conference on the high-quality development of private higher education, and effectively pushed forward the process of the construction of the first-class university, which showcased the good spiritual outlook of Peihua people.
In 2023, we remained true to the original aspiration and kept fostered virtue through education. We deeply studied, publicized and implemented the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, took Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as our guide, and implemented the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. Led by Party construction, taking the political and ideological work as the soul, we created a new pattern of “education in three aspects ”, and achieved fruitful results in the work of education.
In 2023, we have been cultivating talents in a diversified way. The university adhered to being open to new thins, actively building the talent cultivation mode of “integration of industry and education, university-enterprise cooperation”, and made every effort to cultivate high-quality applied technology talents. The university continued to promote the project of visiting enterprises by school Party secretaries and president for the exploration of job positions, establishing 208 high-quality internship and employment bases. The mechanism of collaborative education has been further improved.
In 2023, we passed on the torch and carried on our missions. We comprehensively promoted the construction of high-quality faculty to a higher level. Teachers have won gold and silver in various competitions at all levels, and achieved new breakthroughs in the number and grade of awards. The year of 2023 witnessed the emergence of outstanding teachers with faith, virtue, knowledge and kindness and those winning the honor of “Provincial-level Outstanding Teacher” . The vitality of entrepreneurial cadres has been vigorously released, and the development system of multi-dimensional evaluation has been further improved.
In 2023, we took root in the local community and served the society. The university deeply integrated into the Qinchuangyuan innovation platform, and was recognized high-tech enterprises by the Spring Seed Investment Fund Project. The university signed the Xi’an Hard Science and Technology Artificial Intelligence Project and got the approbation of 2023 Shaanxi Province Key Laboratory Construction Project. We actively served the national rural revitalization strategy, sent cadres to villages to participate in front-line work, and set up 228 teams of college students to “go to the countryside” to serve in rural areas on posts related to teaching, agriculture, medical service, which demonstrated Peihua people’s national patriotism and responsibility.
In 2023, we strengthened the construction of “Happy Peihua”. We practiced the concept of “green development” and promoted the construction of “beautiful campus”. The university made every effort to ensure the staff’s livelihood and improve the welfare, and promoted the implementation of many “heart-warming” projects. We built the “Model Staff Home” in the national education, culture, health and sports system, and the “Spiritual Station Demonstration Point” in Shaanxi Province, and the happiness index of teachers and students kept rising.
Teachers and students, only by striving can we achieve the glory. Looking ahead to 2024, Peihua will enter the “window period” of high-quality development, and it is our inevitable choice to continue to strive for the future. Here, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and sincere blessings to all the Peihua people, who have made great efforts and to all the friends from all walks of life who care about and support the development of our university.
