From July 4th to 5th, 2024, the 2024 Northwest College Teacher Teaching Development Center Alliance Annual Meeting and the Digital Intelligence Education Empowerment Teaching Innovation Seminar were held at Jiuquan Vocational and Technical College. Directors of the school’s Teacher Teaching Development Center Zhang Wei and Wang Shu , Su Guangxia, two teachers attended the meeting.

On the evening of July 4,Director Zhang Wei participated the alliance’s executive council meeting and board of directors meetingrepresentingthe school, and voted on related issues such as the alliance’s establishment of some universities as vice-chairman units.

On the morning of the 5th, Professor Xu Zhongfeng, chairman of the Northwest Alliance and director of the Teacher Teaching Development Center of Xi’an Jiaotong University, presided over the opening ceremony. Professor Wu Yonghe of East China Normal University and Li Xiang, chief operating manager of Higher Education Press, made keynote reports on the conference respectively. Professor Wu Yonghe sharedonthe topic of“Educational Digital Practice towards Smart Education - Application of Artificial Intelligence in Education and Teaching”, focusing on the new needs of artificial intelligence-driven development and new exploration of artificial intelligence-driven practice. Analysis and thinking on technology-driven education innovation and reform, empowering precise teaching, and improving the comprehensive strength of education. Li Xiang shared the topic of“Exploration of Digital Teaching Materials and the Construction of Domestic and Foreign Digital Teaching Materials Empowered by Practical Technology”, focusing on the policy evolution and implementation paths of digital teaching materials at home and abroad, as well as the existing problems and challenges of digital teaching materials.

In the afternoon, Director Zhang Wei presided over the sharing and demonstration session of the award-winning teachers in the innovation competition, and commented on and exchanged views on the sharings of eight teachers including Professor Zhang Qilong of Ningxia University, the first prize winner of the National College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition.

The Northwest Higher Education Teacher Teaching Development Center Alliance (referred to as the“Northwest Alliance”) was jointly established in early 2015 by the National Teacher Teaching Development Demonstration Center of Xi’an Jiaotong University, the National Teacher Teaching Development Demonstration Center of Shaanxi Normal University, and the Teacher Development Center of Northwest University, aiming to strengthen and enhance the construction of teacher teaching development centers in various universities, give full play to the leading and exemplary role of national demonstration centers, use high-quality education and teaching resources in various universities, promote the teaching development of teachers in various universities, and improve teachers’ teaching abilities and teaching levels. Promote the improvement of teaching quality. Our school is currently the executive director unit of the Northwest Alliance and the director unit of the Northwest Private Colleges and Universities Special Committee.
