On the morning of October 23rd, the “Future Vocational Guidance - 2024 Autumn Special Recruitment Event for College Graduates in Large and Medium-sized Cities and the Job Fair of Shaanxi Private College Employment Alliance” was successfully held at Xi’an Peihua University. This event aimed to provide a vast platform for graduates to interact face-to-face with employers, showcase themselves, and realize their career dreams.

This job fair was held under the guidance of the Shaanxi Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department and the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education. It was sponsored by the Xi’an Talent Market Management Committee Office (Shaanxi Provincial Talent Exchange Service Center), supported by the Shaanxi Provincial Student Employment and Studying Abroad Service Center, and hosted by Xi’an Peihua University and Shaanxi Xincai Network Technology Co., Ltd., with the participation of 31 allied colleges and universities within the province.

The job fair attracted 216 renowned enterprises and institutions from Shaanxi and other provinces, offering 4,663 job positions. It drew over 6,500 students from the graduating class and other colleges and universities affiliated with the Shaanxi Private College Employment Alliance. A total of 4,571 resumes were collected, with 1,808 preliminary employment intention matches achieved. This event received considerable media attention. Shaanxi Broadcasting Corporation, Xi’an Broadcasting Corporation, and other media outlets carried out interviews and reports.

Leaders Were Present at the Job Fair for On-site Guidance
Director of the Xi’an Talent Market Management Committee Office (Shaanxi Provincial Talent Exchange Service Center) Mei Xiaogang, Deputy Director Wu Yan, and Director of the Vocational Introduction and Guidance Department Zhu Jingjie, along with Chen Jing, Employment Department director of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and Shaanxi Provincial Student Employment and Studying Abroad Service Center, visited the job fair site for guidance. Jiang Bo, chairman of Xi’an Peihua University; Li Yingfang, president; Liu Feng, Party secretary; Yao Wenjing, vice president and deputy Party secretary; Bao Wei, president’s assistant; representatives from the Admissions and Career Guidance Center and allied colleges; and other relevant leaders also attended the job fair. Additionally, leaders, counselors, and teachers from Xi’an Peihua university’s secondary schools came to the job fair site to provide professional guidance for graduates seeking job opportunities and exploring potential positions.

Zuo Haoyu, a 2025 graduate in Law from Xi’an Peihua University, said, “I am very grateful to the university for providing such a platform. I prefer to look for jobs that align with my major. Today, I communicated with the recruitment managers of multiple legal consulting firms and enterprises. I believe that to find a job you like, you must first have a clear goal and improve your professional abilities. Secondly, you need to hone your job-seeking abilities, including resume preparation and communication skills.”

Xue Jiaqi, the person in charge of campus recruitment from Huawei’s wholly-owned subsidiary Shenzhen Huitong Business Co., Ltd., shared, “We received many suitable resumes today. We felt the students’ enthusiasm during face-to-face communication. Meanwhile, we also guided students on how to prepare for job seeking during the communication process. We will arrange interviews for graduates as soon as possible.”

It is worth mentioning that this job fair also specially set up zones for resume guidance, career guidance, policy promotion, military enlistment, grassroots projects, and international project consultations. Senior career planners and employment guidance experts were invited to provide personalized career planning advice and policy interpretations for graduates, helping them better understand the dynamics of the employment market and seize job opportunities.
To fully implement the requirements of the Notice on Special Action of “Visiting Enterprises and Exploring Job Opportunities to Promote Employment” , this job fair specifically established a “Visit Enterprises and Explore Job Opportunities” zone, aiming to build a bridge between employers and the secondary colleges, promoting cooperation between the university and enterprises to deeper levels and broader areas. Representatives from enterprises could engage in face-to-face communication with the heads of secondary schools, jointly exploring cooperation in talent training, internship and training, and career guidance. Through in-depth communication, both parties reached multiple cooperation consensus and held several enterprise promotion sessions after the job fair, allowing graduates to better understand enterprise needs and development prospects, providing them with more internship and employment opportunities.

Next, Xi’an Peihua University will continue to unite with its sister colleges and universities to leverage the advantages of the Private College Employment Alliance, actively explore new ways of university-enterprise cooperation, extensively build government-university-enterprise cooperation platforms, jointly develop the employment market, and provide comprehensive employment services “packages” for graduates. Through a comprehensive “online + offline” campus recruitment model encompassing “large-scale comprehensive enterprises + medium-sized industry-specific enterprises + small enterprise presentations,” the university will strengthen accurate guidance services, help private universality graduates improve their job-hunting abilities, and support graduates in achieving high-quality employment.
