On the afternoon of March 14th, Wu Guoquan, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Guilin University, led a delegation to conduct an exchange visit to the university. Yang Jiefu, Director of the Center for Industry-University Integration and Innovation Entrepreneurship of Guilin University, and Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office; Li Hongbo, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering and Director of the Network and Informationization Department of Guilin University; Liu Lianglong, Vice Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, and Zhu Xinbo, Director of the Electronic Information Engineering Teaching and Research Office of the School of Science and Engineering; Li Yingfang, President of Xi’an Peihua University; Tie Wei, Director of the Academic Affairs Management Center; Wang Wenqing, President of the Intelligent Science and Engineering School, and Xu Jin, Director of the Electronics Department, participated in the symposium. The meeting was chaired by Assistant President Bao Wei.

President Li Yingfang delivered a welcome speech. He introduced the university’s history of operation, the educational philosophy centered on students, as well as the its experiences and practices in discipline and professional construction, application-oriented talent cultivation, and faculty building. He particularly highlighted the teacher teaching development and training system featuring “four types of collaboration, five forces in combination, and six stages of progressive advancement”.

Wu Guoquan, President of Guilin University, stated that Xi’an Peihua University has a profound educational background and distinctive disciplines and specialties. He introduced the development situation and future planning of Guilin University and hoped that both sides would strengthen communication and cooperation in the future and jointly make progress.

Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on issues such as teaching management, teacher training, professional development and discipline construction of private colleges. They shared experiences and practices. After the meeting, the attending leaders jointly visited the History Museum of Peihua, the ICT Innovation Training and Achievement Exhibition Center of Yuying Building, the Student Service Center, and others buildings on the campus.
