In the early autumn, Xi’an Peihua University was filled with the fragrance of osmanthus blossoms, and intermittent autumn rains brought a gentle coolness. On the morning of September 11, the electronic screen on the campus of Xi’an Peihua University shone brightly with the message: “Warmly welcome Yang Kai and Hu Zongxiang back in triumph after participating in the September 3rd Military Parade.” Alumni Yang Kai (Class of 2022) and Hu Zongxiang (Class of 2024), who had just taken part in the “September 3rd Military Parade,” returned to their alma mater in crisp military uniforms to share their growth experiences with teachers and fellow students.
Around 9:00 a.m., in the hall of the Mingde Building, the two alumni stood before Chairman Jiang Bo and other university leaders and teachers who had come to welcome them, delivering a resolute report. Their former teachers also presented them with bouquets as a token of welcome and pride.
Subsequently, Liu Feng, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Yao Wenjing, Deputy Secretary, adorned the two alumni with “Welcome Back to Campus” sashes. Chairman Jiang Bo then presented them with the “Outstanding Alumni” honorary certificates, in recognition of their exceptional performance during the military parade and their outstanding achievements in bringing honor to the university.
Chairman Jiang Bo expressed deep affection, saying, ‘You have shed sweat on the military parade training ground, walked through Tiananmen Square with resolute steps, not only showcasing the style of soldiers in the new era, but also bringing the spirit of ‘self-reliance and forging ahead’ of the Peihua people to the heart of the motherland!” stay true to their original aspirations, to integrate the fine traditions and discipline of the military into their future work, to keep up their perseverance and fighting spirit, and to become role models for young people—especially those of the post-2000 generation.
Chairman Jiang Bo also introduced the latest development of the university to the alumni, hoping that they would actively play a role on the alumni association platform, and sincerely invited them to visit their alma mater often and witness the vigorous development of the alma mater with their families.
Liu Feng, Party Secretary of Xi’an Peihua University, pointed out that successfully completing the parade mission was not only a personal honor for the two alumni but also a source of great pride for the entire Peihua community. He hopes that alumni will transform this valuable experience into a driving force for continuous progress, combining it with long-term life development, continuing to carry forward their spirit on the future path, and achieving more valuable lives.

The two alumni sincerely thank their alma mater for nurturing them. Yang Kai mentioned that this is his first time returning to the university after graduation and he has been following the university’s developments closely, feeling proud and honored for the flourishing development of his alma mater. He also recalled warm moments of talking to “Brother Bo” during his student days. Hu Zongxiang stated that he will continue to improve himself and strive to achieve better results in his new position.
They unanimously expressed that “Brother Bo” is as friendly as ever, and the university is developing rapidly; in recent years, Peihua students have achieved remarkable results in civil service exams, and as alumni, they feel quite proud.
“Welcome back home,” cheers and applause echoed in the gymnasium and Hengyou Building auditorium. After the symposium, the two alumni visited the freshman military training units, where they delivered a stunning parade formation demonstration and conducted a special patriotic education and national defense security education class for the new students. They encouraged younger students to cherish their time in school, study hard, hone their skills, run hard on the track of youth, and write magnificent chapters.
Alumni Yang Kai and Hu Zongxiang returned with honors, and they are Peihua students demonstrating their sense of national responsibility through practical actions. The university always adheres to the fundamental task of cultivating virtue and nurturing people, integrating patriotism into every aspect of education, inspiring generation after generation of Peihua students, and closely linking personal ideals with the fate of the country.
