To warmly celebrate the 97th anniversary of Xi'an Peihua University's founding, thoroughly implement the requirements for regularized and long-term Party history learning and education, further foster the love for the Party, the country, and the university among teachers and students, and gather the driving force for knowing, honoring, revitalizing, and strengthening the university, the final of the university's Fourth "97 Years of Youth Fulfilling Original Aspirations, Studying History to Practice and Embarking on a New Journey" Party and University History Knowledge Competition was grandly held in the library auditorium on the afternoon of December 3.

Chairman of University Dr. Jiang Bo, Party Committee Secretary Liu Feng,Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Vice President Yao Wenjing, along with other university leaders, heads of various schools (departments) and centers, and over 400 representatives of teachers and students observed the competition. The final was hosted by teachers Ju Meng and Chen Xiaoxiong from the School of Media and Design.
Chairman Jiang Bo Delivered a Speech
Chairman Jiang Bo delivered a speech for the competition. He pointed out that Peihua shares a century-old red university history of weathering storms together with the Communist Party of China. As the only private university since the Republic of China era consistently dedicated to women's education and vocational education, it has formed a unique tradition of struggle and red roots. This competition is not only a contest of knowledge but also a profound ideological tempering. The key to studying Party and university history lies in deeply comprehending the vivid history forged by generations of Peihua people with their youth and fervor. The seven educational principles proposed at the university's founding in 1928, along with the subsequent educational philosophy of "People-oriented, Virtue Foremost," still possess distinct contemporary value. Peihua students should use the competition as a vivid form to transcend mere memorization, strengthen ideals and convictions, temper strong character through in-depth study of Party and university history, focus on cultivating cross-disciplinary abilities and solidifying firm beliefs in the era of artificial intelligence, further internalize the red gene, and translate the spiritual power endowed by history into grounded responsibility and the ability to inspire others. Finally, the Chairman called upon all teachers and students to take history as a mirror and create the future, treating this event as a new starting point towards the university's centennial celebration, and jointly contribute youthful strength to the development of the university and the country.

Talent Show Segment
At the final, five teams engaged in fierce competition. The final consisted of six segments: "Overcoming Hurdles," "Quick Eyes and Agile Hands," "Racing Against Time," "Working in Concert," "Burning One's Boats," and "Talent Show." The question types included mandatory answer, quick response, rapid judgment, relay, risk challenge, and university history interpretation. The content covered important events, theoretical achievements, and great spirits from the century-long struggle of the Communist Party of China, as well as major developmental milestones, educational philosophies, and outstanding figures since Peihua's founding in 1928. The contestants answered calmly and cooperated seamlessly, demonstrating solid knowledge reserves and excellent mental outlook. Especially during the quick response segment, the scores were closely contested, creating a tense and enthusiastic atmosphere with continuous applause.

After several rounds of exciting competition, the team from the School of Intelligent Science and Engineering ultimately won first place with their outstanding performance. The team from the School of Media and Design won second place, and the team from the School of Medicine won third place. The teams from the School of Law and the School of Accounting and Finance received Excellence Awards. Additionally, 9 teachers and 9 team members were honored with "Outstanding Instructor" and "Outstanding Contestant" awards respectively. Attending leaders presented plaques and certificates to the winning teams, outstanding instructors, and outstanding contestants.
Party Committee Secretary Liu Feng Delivered a Concluding Speech
After the award ceremony, Party Committee Secretary Liu Feng delivered a concluding speech. He spoke highly of the successful organization of the competition and the excellent performance of the contestants. He noted that the schools were well-organized, the contestants performed excellently, and the on-site interaction was enthusiastic, fully showcasing the positive mental outlook and learning achievements of teachers and students. This competition was not only a vivid practice of promoting learning through competition but also a profound education in Party history and university culture, laying a good foundation for deepening continuous learning. He pointed out that the value of learning lies in self-motivation, the focus is on seeking truth, and the difficulty lies in persistence. He called on all teachers and students to adopt the right attitude, grasp the rules, persevere, and transform learning outcomes into practical abilities to propel work forward. He hopes all teachers and students will take this event as an opportunity to build consensus, translate the enthusiasm for learning into concrete actions to promote the high-quality development and core strengthening/graduate program application of the university, and contribute to the university's development.
The successful hosting of this knowledge competition allowed teachers and students to draw wisdom and strength from the Party's century-long struggle. It also made the mission of the times of "Setting Sail to Bear the Mission" that they shoulder clearer from Peihua's 97-year educational history. In the future, Peihua teachers and students will engage with a more spirited stance in the journey of building a distinctive high-level application-oriented university. They will translate the enthusiasm for studying Party and university history into practical actions of loving the country, honoring the university, and fostering virtue through education. They will transform the absorbed spiritual strength into a powerful driving force to overcome difficulties and strive for excellence. In their respective posts, they will bravely shoulder missions and make new contributions, jointly writing a new chapter in the high-quality development of Xi'an Peihua University!
