Speech by Yao Wenjing, Vice President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xi'an Peihua University
On behalf of the University Party Committee, Yao Wenjing delivered a speech, highly affirming the remarkable achievements of the Student Union in uniting young people and serving education. Based on the university's high-quality development strategy of "strengthening undergraduate education and pursuing master's degree programs", she put forward three expectations for young people across the university: to strengthen ideals and beliefs and strive to be new-era youth with lofty ideals; to temper excellent skills and become pillars of society who are able to endure hardships and willing to strive; to courageously take on missions and make contributions, and fulfill the youth oath of daring to take responsibility. She emphasized that the Student Union must continuously deepen services, innovate mechanisms, promote reforms, and build itself into an advanced organization that reassures the Party and satisfies teachers and students. The University Party Committee will, as always, support the development of young people, and called on all students to take this congress as a starting point, and to stand firm and take responsibility in the journey of participating in the construction of Chinese-style modernization and the high-quality development of the university.
Speech by Xu Guming, Executive Chairman of the Student Union of Xi'an Shiyou University
In his speech, Xu Guming stated that as an important pioneer in private higher education, Xi'an Peihua University adheres to the spirit of "science, democracy, freedom, fairness, and innovation", and has achieved remarkable results in talent cultivation and campus construction. The outstanding practices of its Student Union in ideological guidance and rights protection are worthy of learning. The two universities, rooted in Shaanxi, have long worked together hand in hand and forged a profound friendship. Looking to the future, he expressed the expectation that taking the Student Congress as an opportunity, the two universities will deepen inter-university cooperation, explore new paths for Student Union work in the new era, co-build a platform for youth growth, and inspire the power of youth.
Speech by Zhang Yiyang, Executive Chairman of the Shaanxi Provincial Students' Federation
Zhang Yiyang fully affirmed the solid achievements made by the Student Union of Xi'an Peihua University in recent years in ideological guidance, organizational development, and serving students. He pointed out that student union organizations must always keep in mind the fundamental purpose of "serving students wholeheartedly", effectively play the role of a bridge and link, continuously deepen reform and innovation under the guidance of the spirit of the 28th National Congress of the All-China Students' Federation, and constantly enhance their political nature, advanced nature, and mass character. On behalf of the Presidium of the 6th Student Union of Xi'an Peihua University, Liu Rui comprehensively reported the work achievements of the Student Union in the past year in ideological and political guidance, serving students' growth, enriching campus culture, and deepening organizational reforms. She also stated that the Student Union should learn, think, and practice the important thoughts of General Secretary Xi Jinping on youth work, implement the service purpose, deepen reform and innovation, and bravely shoulder the mission of the times. It will adhere to the school motto of "school reputation first, quality first, self-improvement, and forging ahead", unite and guide Peihua youth to work together with one heart and one mind, and unite the majority of young people to contribute youth power to the construction of Chinese-style modernization.
Closing Remarks by Dong Ying, Secretary of the University Youth League Committee
At the closing of the congress, Dong Ying expressed sincere expectations for the new Student Union, encouraging it to stay true to its original aspiration, continue to strive, and truly become a youthful force that students can think of, reach, and rely on. She emphasized that the Student Union must always adhere to the leadership of the Party, be a pioneer in holding high the banner and guiding ideology; focus on the main line of education, be a practitioner centered on the overall situation and serving the overall interests; keep in mind the service purpose, be an intimate person who cares for students and warms people's hearts; and forge ahead with reform and innovation, be a pacesetter in overcoming difficulties and taking on responsibilities. She called on all representatives and young students to take this congress as a new starting point, with more enthusiasm and fighting spirit, to dedicate their youth and write a brilliant chapter in the new journey of building a high-level application-oriented university!
During the congress, representatives carefully listened to and reviewed the Work Report of the 6th Student Union Committee of Xi'an Peihua University, the Proposal Work Report of the 7th Student Congress, and the Articles of Association of the Student Union of Xi'an Peihua University (Revised Draft), and conducted in-depth discussions on students' growth needs and the overall development of the campus. All representatives considered and adopted various resolutions with a highly responsible attitude, and in the initiative, called on all students of the university to strengthen ideals and beliefs, temper solid skills, and engage in the practice of strengthening the country.
The congress concluded successfully with the passionate singing of the League Song. This congress systematically summarized experience, scientifically planned future paths, and was a major event in the academic life of Peihua students, as well as an important manifestation of the university's continuous promotion of democratic governance and consolidation of the education system. On the new journey, Peihua youth will surely, with a high-spirited attitude and solid actions, write a youth answer sheet worthy of the times in the wave of the university's high-quality development and the construction of Chinese-style modernization.
