Recently, the Publicity Department of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and the Education Working Committee of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee announced the list of the third batch of Key Marxist-Leninist Institutes and their Cultivation Units in Shaanxi Province. After going through the procedures of independent application, on-site defense, and field inspection, the School of Marxism of Xi'an Peihua University was designated as a Cultivation Unit of Key Marxist-Leninist Institutes in the third batch of Shaanxi Province.

The predecessor of the School of Marxism of Xi'an Peihua University was the Department of Social Sciences. It was reorganized into the Department of Ideological and Political Theory Teaching and Research in 2010 and officially established as the School of Marxism in 2018. The school has 2 provincial-level famous teacher studios, 1 university-level scientific research platform, and 6 teaching and research sections. It also boasts multiple on-campus teaching practice bases and a red culture exhibition hall covering an area of over 3,000 square meters. In 2018, it was awarded the title of "Advanced Collective of Teachers' Ethics" at the university level. In 2019, it was honored as a "Model University for Ideological and Political Education" by Xin Hua net. In 2020, it received the titles of "Model Team for Teachers' Ethics Construction in Shaanxi Province" and "Excellent Organization Award in the 'Intensive Training' Activity for Teachers of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Shaanxi Schools".

In recent years, the school has obtained approval for provincial-level excellent courses, provincial-level teaching reform projects, and a provincial-level excellent ideological and political course project on integrating Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into textbooks, classrooms, and students' minds. Thirteen teachers of the school have been awarded titles such as "Teaching Backbone" in the National Teaching Exhibition of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Colleges and Universities, "Teaching Model" and "Teaching Expert" in the teaching exhibition of the provincial-level "Intensive Training" activity for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in Shaanxi colleges and universities, as well as Special Prizes, First Prizes, and Second Prizes.

On November 4 this year, an expert group from the review committee of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and the Education Working Committee of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee conducted an on-site inspection and evaluation of the development of the School of Marxism. Through on-site visits, attending lectures, and reviewing materials, the expert group affirmed the achievements made in the school's development and put forward guiding suggestions.

Being selected as a Cultivation Unit of Key Marxist-Leninist Institutes in Shaanxi Province is not only a test of the achievements made by the university and the school over the years but also marks a new stage in the development of the School of Marxism. Taking this as an opportunity, the university will focus on fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, fully align with the requirements of the "Standards for the Construction of Marxist-Leninist Institutes in Regular Institutions of Higher Education", further strengthen the development of Marxist theory as a discipline, strive to promote the construction of "comprehensive ideological and political courses", deepen the reform and innovation of ideological and political theory courses, and promote the high-quality development of the School of Marxism, so as to make greater contributions to cultivating socialist builders and successors with an all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor.
